Comment:

I have her for zoology and there is so, SO much to memorize for that class. As such, the tests are dreadfully difficult. That being said, she does her best to help us know all the info before exams. When we were dissecting spiders, I asked her if i could skip it cuz arachnophobia TM, she gave me a hug and said I could skip it. Bless.

Comment:

Dr. Gerbec is truly a great professor. I felt comfortable missing lectures because she gives you printed copies of each powerpoint. However missing lab is not an option. There are quizzes every lab, but your worst 2 are dropped. She gives very thorough instruction in lab and walks around the room to help you. She also brings snacks to every lab.

She's a genuine nice person, but her quizzes and tests are very hard. I will still do bad even if I study for her quizzes, because she makes the questions very difficult where you really have to think and know the answers.

Comment:

Dr. Gerbec was one of my favorite professors of all time. In class she teaches the content in a manner that is easy to understand and very conducive to learning. She comes off as harsh at first but you'll soon realize she is like the mother that you wish you had. Out of class she is very nice and always willing to help! A must take for Zoology!

Terrible teacher, the worst teacher at this college. She is very sassy and sarcastic, not to mention rude. She forgets everything and her notes are terrible. I sent her an email about the class and she responded very rude, I thought a 15 year old typed it. I do not know how she is still a professor, I will NEVER take a class she teaches again.

This class all you had to do was show up and you got an A, that's how it was graded. It was just listening to lectures given by people in the Biology field but I really enjoyed it because it opened my eyes to different careers out there. Wish I would've taken this class earlier in my college career.

Dr G is probably one of the best professors I have ever had. She is tough and expects you to know the material. Her exams can be hard but if you go to lecture you will know everything you need to know for weekly lab quizzes and exams. She genuinely cares about her students and goes out of her way to get you help.

I really liked this zoology class. Betsy has very interesting lectures and teaches you little facts you'd probably otherwise never learn. Shows amazing videos in class. I think she has clear expectations, I've never had an issue preparing for her tests. She prints off her powerpoints, so study those and the lab packets- you'll be good.

I'm not a huge fan of biology but I liked the way she printed her power points into packets for your notes. The tests covered quite a bit of material and were fairly long but if you take time to study you should do fine. Like all good classes, you have to work a little for a decent grade. She's a nice teacher and enjoys answering your questions.

She's tough her Lab exams are extremely hard! she's a nice person. She gives you a study guide the day before the exam but she tells you don't study the day before. Lecture exams are very specific she gives the same 5 choices for 12 questions typical and you better not mix up your phylums on those. Lab exams no guidance of what will be on them

Dr. Gerbec is a great professor! She's funny, helpful and sweet, but she also can be very strict at times. She is my advisor and I lovr her and everything but she tells you that this class is easy. Well it is except for the tests. There is just too much to study for on the test. She likes to make her tests hard even if it is just for a elective

Graduating this year and Betsy is by far my favorite professor. Friendly, funny, helpful. She really likes to see everybody succeed and she makes class interesting. Really great as a person, advisor, professor, and club advisor for the Pre Health Society. Nothing bad to say.

Gerbec is a really nice professor and wants you to succeed and know the material! She was very helpful with me and a couple other students who were worried about an exam and she gave us feedback on what to study! You have to put time in to study but definitely worth it!
