Probably the most unattentive prof ive ever had. shes never early not class, and is always talking about her other more important things todo. she seems much more passionate about her own personal agenda than her class. she gives little time to talk to her after or even during class. her slides are useless and she expectes you read the whole book

She has very long boring lectures with no student participation and didn't give clear instruction on any of the assignments and seemingly didn't care about the questions we asked. When asked questions she doesn't give clear answers, in short find a different prof if you want to take the class

Was an awful prof who could have cared less about her students. don't bother correcting her because she will then begin her personal vendetta against you. She showed up late to the final and didn't even apologize. was way to hard of a marker for a one hundred level class.

I find her a great prof, but you have to be ready to commit and energized for class. Tests are abstract and always written, so study keyterms. It is possible to float by, but Smythe is always looking for proficiency in your writing.

I always learn SO MUCH from her lectures, studying for her exams and while doing her assignments. She has changed my perspective on so many things about the world. She is so open-minded and intelligent. A little all over the place sometimes but it's cute, cuz she really does care about her students. Love her!

Professor Smythe is a lifesaver! Understands other things happening in your life and does the best to accommodate. She genuinely respects her students, gives clear lectures, and will help if you ask for it. Her feedback on tests and papers is also extremely helpful, and the workload isn't too bad.

I love Dr Smythe! I've had her for a number of courses, and this ethics class has probably been my favourite. A little more challenging, and a lot of work involved. But she gives really good feedback, and understands the extra problems you have in your life that can affect handing things in on time. A lot of debates in this class- be prepared!

This woman changed my university career for the better. She's exceptionally passionate and knowledgable about global politics, and ensures her poli sci students a good foot into professional paper writing and honing proper research skills. I learned, grew, and eventually felt a certain amount of gratitude for Dr. Smythe. Take her class.

I honestly really like this professor, and I would definitely take her class again! She does take a little bit of time to warm up to, as her classes are lectures are kind of scattered and she can come off as harsh but she's just passionate. She'll give you good feedback if you ask for it, and if you show a little interest it'll help you soooo much!

She is very passionate about politics which makes her lectures very enjoyable. The downfall is she is a tough marker for papers and notes need to be taken while she is talking. If you need to ask for help she comes off a bit rude. In this class you for sure need a textbook and have to memorize definitions!

Tells you exactly what she wants you to do for assignments and tests, so there really isn't any reason why you shouldn't do well. Very passionate about her subject too. Notes are tough to follow as they spread out all over the board, so a safe bet would be to write down everything she writes in point form.

come outta that class with no knowledge whatsoever, had to teach it to myself. she is a bore and goes over the time limit. you have to really be into politics to take her class. id rather walk over a field of heroin needles than be in her class again. sorry but its the truth

Took most of her courses. Didn't much care for her when I first had her, then couldn't imagine a semester without her. Hard marker, tough teacher, but You Learn in her classes - not a "skate" prof at all. She grows on you and I thought she was The Best at Concordia!!!

She is quite ########. She knows lots and expects students to learn lots. There are lots of assigned readings outside of the text which i never read and still did very well in the class. She is friendly and is overall a good teacher. If you attend class and work ####### assignments you should do just fine.

She is very very knowledgeable on the information covered in her lectures. I found them informative (others in my class disagree and found her boring). Unfortunately she has limited knowledge outside the teaching material and marks harshly. Can be a little strong in her language (likes to keep the class focused) but is not rude.
