Gilmore is a great professor. He's passionate about what he's teaching. He also provides time for questions on homework assignments at the beginning of every class. Homework isn't collected, but the quizzes are the homework so stay on top of that! He answers questions politely, and his explanations make sense. Offers partial credit on exams!

Professor Gilmore has an obvious passion for mathematics and it shows in his class. There were a few key concepts I had to teach myself but for the most part his lectures are good and he is clear about what will be on the test which I respect. His class was difficult but I'm sure calc 3 with any prof is hard. Give Gilmore a try you won't regret it.

He wants his students to succeed in his class as he is very forgiving in his grading. This is not a class you can BS and skip, so be prepared to put in a couple hours in. His lectures may be hard to follow, but he's open to any questions. He does not curve tests and replaces your worst test grade with your final exam grade if it helps your grade.

Really good professor. His tests are challenging but he gives partial points just by heading in the right direction on a problem. The best way to succeed, study your notes and any handouts given, do all your homework and don't miss class. Be prepared to work hard and this class will definitely build some character in you.

I've taken Gilmore for both pre-calc and calc 3, and I can say he is an amazing professor who sincerely cares about his students. His teaching technique is very straight forward, and what he goes over class and homework is what will be on the tests. Very funny guy with a dry sense of humor. Take Gilmore!!!!!

I didn't like Gilmore's teaching style, but he's very kind and answers any questions. For my class, he didn't collect homework and would instead give open-note homework quizzes where you copied down the problems directly from your homework. Our grade was determined by 7 quizzes, 3 exams, and the final. The final was difficult, but he curved it.

Gilmores class was okay. I personally was not a fan of his teaching, most of the time I had to go to the TLC to relearn the subjects because his explanations confused me (thats just my experience). His tests arent too bad but sometimes some questions I felt unprepared for. He did give good partial points for trying on the tests.

Test are not tough and he teaches the class and he is engaging but of course, you have to put an effort in order for an "A". Good luck.

If you like well organized lectures do not take this professor. Don't get me wrong he's lectures are based on common sense but he doesn't like to provide formulas which can be confusing if you're not fully comfortable with algebra and geometry. Classwork is required. Hw is best to keep up with as this will be used for random quizzes.

Gilmore is a great professor whose teaching mainly relies on lectures. Homework is not due, but it helps with tests and quizzes. Quizzes are not given as frequently but consist only of homework questions, so he allows you to copy the answers from your homework. The best thing to do if you have trouble is ask a lot of questions during the lecture.

Gilmore is one of the better teachers out there. He cares more about work than the answer on tests (which are also more lecture heavy) which is different from a lot of teachers. If you don't understand something during his lectures, don't be afraid to ask (he will typically give good explanations). Overall, I would certainly take him again.

Gilmore is a great teacher and is nice when grading. He understands that you are trying and if you don't get the right answer he considers the work more. Make sure to do the homework on time and not fall behind or you pass the homework quizzes. Also don't be afraid to ask him questions when you don't understand the content.

Took Gilmore for 104 and 212. By far my favorite math prof at COC. Ive had profs that only went over examples from the book, so they weren't much help. Gilmore makes sure that the info he teaches is supplemental w/ the textbook. He is forgiving on tests as long as you can show that you know the material; he knocks off a couple points per problem

Professor Gilmore is the BEST math instructor I ever had! Not only are his lectures clear, he makes Precalculus less intimidating. He is always willing to help his students and I found his office hours to be EXTREMELY helpful! Like ALL math classes, there will be lots of HW, but that is expected. Study hard, show dedication, and you will pass! :)

This was my professor for Precalculus, and as a student who struggles with math, I felt unsupported. Here are some qualities in this professor: Office hours are accessible, does not give test reviews, tests are based on lecture rather than homework, teaches not from book so it is extremely hard to self-teach.

Professor Gilmore is a great person, and as a professor he does pushes you to study the material. For the final, he has a review day. His quizzes are from the homework. He also give optional assignments to makeup points for the quizzes. Do ALL hw problems and study his notes because it will help you in this class! He wants you to pass!

Gilmore is the best professor ever. He explaims things in details and his tests are never too specific. His tests cover the notes and hw. He lets you drop one test which would probably be the last one for most. He is always helpful
