I took both LITR 264 and LITR 299 with Professor DiBiaggi during my time at JFRC. He has a very dry sense of humor and can say things that may rub you the wrong way, but I enjoyed both of his courses. His tests require a lot of writing and memorization, but nearly everyone who put in effort easily finished with an A.

He is so nice and incredibly funny! I took the film class, and if you go to class and pay attention you'll do well. Exams require memorizing. But I'd definitely take his class again!!

He is the sweetest, most gentle, most passionate prof at JFRC-- loves his subject so much, instills that in his students (if you choose to engage in the class). Talks a lot, make sure to raise your hand and hold your own if you want to make a point.

I loved this class. His tests are not too easy - memorize dates, directors, actors, cinematic approaches, etc. He's so interesting and class was always entertaining. It's definitely possible to get an A.

I took him for ITA at St. John's University in Rome. He is a good professor makes sure everything is clear to you. There were 3 tests in the class with occasional homework checked but not often. He says that only the final grade counts but since I haven't gotten my grade I am not sure. Overall he wasn't hard and we watched movies at the end of the

Not an easy A but he is an easy grader non the less! Words can not describe him and his funny stories/sayings! Just take him, he is the best professor ever!

In short, Di Biagi is a treasure. His literature class re-ignited my interest in the subject--his passion is contagious. Even his crazy one-off over-analysis of the most obscure literary references were classic. He's hilarious, temperamental, bizarre, brilliant. "Guys, things change... I used to have hair." 350 characters can't do him justice.

Flaminio is by far the best teacher you can take while at the Rome Center. I had him for Italian Film and he made every class fabulous. The best are his quotes which are so off the wall, but absolutely hilarious. If you're interested in film, take him. He's very intelligent, fun and he always makes class interesting and entertaining.

I had him for two classes, and he was a good teacher. Took class seriously (not always easy to do in Rome), and he really likes being around American kids (contrary to some opinons) Lots of papers, but if you show up consistently it counts. Really knew his stuff

I had Flaminio in 1996 for a cinema class as well as Italian. The guy is great. Sure, tempermental - but he is classic Italian. Contrary to other Italian professors I had, he understand the socratic method of US Universities. Highly reccomended- and he claim, "Keanu Reeves is the black hole of American Acting". How can you disagree witht that?

Was very excited to take DB's class: 1-I LOVE Italian movies, 2-my 1st impression of DB was a very positive one (met him before). BUT as semester progressed, I have noticed that he is quite an arrogant fellow (no space to give #s exmpls) Anyway, I worked my butt off 4 this class, "A" for midterm & paper...and he still gave me a B for the course!!!

Yeah this guy rocks. My Italian teacher back home is crap compared to Flaminio. My favorite moment was when he told the girl sitting next to me to punch me in the face cos I kept interrupting him or the time he told us about his German truck driver girlfriend...

Loved the lectures and the films and the tests were easy. Only problem is communicating with him when you are not at the Rome Center. I got a B+ and still don't understand why. He never answered my emails! I dont think he checks them but then how am I to discuss anything once I return to Chicago?!
