I didn't have a problem with her personally because I knew how to do most things. She does however, treat us like kindergarteners giving us "prizes" or whatnot. She cannot hear worth a dime and doesn't understand when you ask her something. I came to all classes just to get notes and did not do one bit of homework, or extra credit for that matter.

Don't take her. She's easy if you teach yourself, show up and go to tutoring. She doesn't help, makes fun of people and her tests are nothing like the HW. she has HW quizes so yes you have to do all 100 problems in each section of HW every night. blehhhh

Ms. Geil is a nice person @ heart. However she skips steps in problem solving which if she would work through would avoid the confusion most of the students experience. Makes class harder than it needs to be because the tests always have some oddball element/trick question. The tests are stressful. Half my class dropped & 90% remaining struggled. H

This class was one of the classes I had to really work hard to get a C. Her tests aren't too hard, as long as you study. She has a weird sense of humor and sometimes it felt as though I was just teaching myself from the textbook. It's really hard to understand her teaching. If you have the chance to take another class, I would.

DROP THIS CLASS IMMEDIATELY! i had to at last minute.I am not the strongest math student but ive never done horrible until i came into ms geil's class. i went to tutoring almost everday and still couldnt manange to get above a low D she isnt helpful and is rude! shouldnt be teaching waste of your money drop her NOW! her grading is insane

What does this lady teach? She sure does not teach College Algebra. Teaches College Algebra at the Mathmatician level. You are expected to know Algebra when you show up. Even when you do the Homework you still can Fail.

Math has never been my subject and it's been decades since I took a math class, but I enjoyed this one. She is fun, funny, and VERY helpful. She is fair and expects you to do the work. She gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. The final exam was easy. I'd like to have her for STATS.

The only way I somewhat understood the course material is because she requires you to use the course compass program. CC will walk you through problems that you are having trouble with other than that I would have been lost as she constantly makes mistakes during lecture and has to go back and redo the problems. TESTS ARE HARD!

Professor Geil is an awesome professor she is easy to understand and very helpful. She offers plenty of resources to allow you to pass the class. She wants to see everyone pass the class and will do what she can to see you suceed. I suggest that everyone take her she is a great professor!

PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! When I had her class we had to retake a test because the majority did not pass or got a bad grade. She gets irritated when someone asks her a question about what she just went over. You must do all the homework. Her lectures put me to SLEEP!! If there is ANY other teacher you can take, i'd choose the latter.

Mrs. Geil is helpful on tests. In class it is very confusing to understand so you may have trouble on hw unless you get help. Do the hw or you will fall behind. She's not a bad person she even gives many extra credit. She's ok.

The only students who had trouble in her class are the ones who never showed up or didn't turn in homework. She will give you as much time as you need, and will work with you until you understand the material. If she makes fun of you in class, it's because you're a slacker and she knows it. She IS the one dishing out grades.

She is an excellent instructor. If you attend class and do your homework, you will pass, easily. I haven't taken a math class in 10 years and maintained a 95 average throughout the semester. She is great!!!!
