Comment:

This has got to be the worst proffesor I've ever had. When I was sick and in the hospital she refused to accept my doctors notes, and didn't let me make up anything even with the doctors note! She was hard to understand, and when you didn't understand she didn't try to help you either. The worst class I've ever taken, dont recommend taking her.

Comment:

Mrs. Emery was very involved in the class participation. She motivated even the quieter students to talk in depth of the books we went over. She has a high reading demand, but does provide really good reading material. I had a really good time with this class, and Mrs. Emery!

For Mrs. Emery's cladd all you do is read the assigned books then for the following class you literally just talk about if you liked it or not for 2 and a half hours. For her exams you just write about one of the prompts she gives you. Such an amazing teacher and person. Definitely the BEST professor I've ever had.

She is an excellent professor! She explains things thoroughly and is quick to respond to questions. She is enthusiastic! I hated poetry before I took her class and by the end of English 1020, poetry was a whole different world to me! She has an open door policy and is great at connecting with students. She requires a lot of work for her classes.

This professor does not include in class participoation and does not allow for missing class despite being sick, especially if it is on a peer review day. She does not give papers back in timely manner and therefore you h no clue what your grade is or how you are doing in the class. I received my papers back the last day of class.

tough when it comes to papers. takes at least 1 hour and nitpicks your paper to the point of nothing. Oh, got an F on my first PAPER! Lectures are long, good, always read the assigned readings b4 coming to class, including the first day. My whole thing is just becareful when it comes to test,and papers. the test questions are pretty left-field

The class was useless, which I do not blame her for. She also seems like a pretty nice person. However, she is not a good teacher! She talked for the entire two and a half hours and said nothing. There were a few essay assignments; people say "she's a hard grader" She corrected my paper WRONG. I'm just glad I didn't have to take her for English.

She is AWFUL! She doesn't treat all the students the same. She told me I could go to a family funeral and miss class then dropped me a letter grade for missing a third class. I got a C. Lowest grade at APSU. DO NOT take her class.

Taylor Emory teaching is ridiculous. I didnt understand anything she taught me. She was an unfair teacher. She picks and chooses who she likes and gives good grades to them. I eventually got fed up and withdrew from her class. NOT GOOD AT ALL!

I learned nothing. As it was my 1st college class I ever took,it derailed all ambition I had of finishing my degree at APSU.Prof provided NO feedback to the students i.e. not informing us of midterm grades,not handing back papers,& times not showing up.Beyond that she let AcademicSupport do all of her work for her,it might as well have been online.

LOVED Ms. Emery!! By far my favorite teacher at APSU. You do need to read & be prepared for class - there is a quiz every day. Papers are not bad, but she grades harder than I thought she would. She really knows her stuff & is very passionate about the books too. If you like to read & enjoy literature def. take her.

Beyond difficult to understand. This professor is set in her ways and doesn't want your input or questions. I've made A's in every English class except this one. The discussions were worthless and the papers even more so. I recommend taking this online instead of with Emery.

I took her for a maymester class an the papers were ridicous. I write very good papers and in all my other classes they are A papers, but not hers! All my papers averaged out to C's. In the end I had a D and I met all her requirements for them and more. I never missed class either. She will mark all over your papers,fix it, but its still not enough
