He writes very long and squished together sentences, so you can't really read what he's writing and he moves on too quickly for you to write down what he's saying. Also, his accent is incredibly thick and it makes it difficult to understand what he's saying.

He is nearly always accessible. One time, a bunch of students were having trouble with an assignment that was due midnight that night. Everyone was freaking out, so he ran from his house to help them with the assignment. And if he's out of town for a few days, he told his students to text him if they had any questions.

Engin is a good professor. He relies heavily on his notes and topics that he teaches are hard to understand in general because Probability and Stochastic processes contain lots of confusing topics. He is trying his best to explain them to his students. Make sure you write notes. Go to his office. He is always willing to help you out.

The nicest, most caring professor I have ever met. He genuinely wants all of his students to understand and enjoy statistics. Almost everything you need to know for tests is written on the board, so take good notes and don't skip class. If you don't understand something, ask. Even if you don't need to take stats, you should take a class with him

He is the most boring professor I have ever had. Extremely hard to understand the thing he taught. He teaches students like a computer program. Also,he doesn't like to answer your question. He might be very good in his field, but unfortunately he is really bad at teaching.

Engin is a wonderful teacher to have. He always is willing to answer questions, and gives an incredible amount of extra credit. It's obvious he loves to give out A's. However, he also takes teaching very seriously and expects his students to work hard for every point a student earns.

The problem in this class is that he didn't explain how to use computer for describing or analyzing a data beforehand. That's the only problem.

This class involves lots of calculus and other mid-level math. not for the faint of heart. tests are fair and you need to study for them. AWESOME prof! he's the reason I declared a stats major

Stats wasn't easy. I'll bet that at least part of the reason I did well was because I'm friends with a stats major. However, Sungur is a pretty lenient grader and he gives LOTS of resources to study from. His exams are also a LOT easier than you might think and he does give partial credit.

I only took this class because it was required for my major. However, he does want his students to do well, so ask him if you need help. Don't copy the notes word-for-word; change them into the vernacular. Also, his mildly strange mannerisms take some getting used to, but that's really just how he is. Pay it no mind.

I love Engin Sungur. He is a great teacher and a wonderful advisor. He is so kind and helpful. Engin has helped me with other stats classes for which he wasn't even the prof. Further, he helped me to find a job. He's a great teacher- explains things well, funny, sweet... My favorite prof of all time.

Wow! I dont know if it was him or the subject matter (statistics) but that class was WAY above my head. I couldn't keep up no matter how hard I tried. And when I went for help he looked at me like I was asking how to tie my shoe. Crazy mad scientist type d

Not helpful at all, his english isnt the greatest and grammatical errors in his test leave you with lower grades. He grades like a Nazi and doesnt answer questions when you ask. Also the course load is quite rough.

It seems like I'm the only person going to give him a bad rating... oh well, I have to say what I think. He's an extremely tough grader, hard to understand, when you go in for help he seems to rush you and he's intimidating in class when you ask a question. I just don't like him, sorry.
