Esperanza is one of the most amazing people on the planet. If you have a true passion for Spanish and Latin American culture, she will fill you up with all of her knowledge. She gives a decent amount of work, but if you plan to excel at a foreign language in 4 short years, you need it. Ask questions and get as much info out of this amazing woman.

Esperanza is by far the most amazing, caring, wonderful, and beautiful person I have ever met. She is always willing to help and truly loves what she does. The world would be a better place if more people were like her. Take her classes whenever possible.

Best teacher I've ever had. If you want to fly around the world Esperanza will set it up for you. She starts the semester with a lot of work but as time goes on she adjusts the schedule so that it's easier and no so overwhelming. She expects that you want to work hard and learn and will adjust to your learning style. Favorite Hartwick Professor!

I had 2 classes with Esperanza as a Span double major. In both, I was disappointed. She is very disorganized, and I didn't learn as much as I'd hoped despite her very high expectations. She took things personally if we didn't learn, even though everybody in the two small classes had the same problems, you'd think you could identify and fix them!

esperanza made me hate spanish. She is very disorganized and does not teach very well. Her grading is not very clear and I feel that she "wings" each class. She expects that you know everything even when you really don't.
