Sark has got to be the best math teacher ever. Although he only has 4 tests that make up your grade he ensures that as long as you understand whats going on, youre going to pass. Hes kind and hilarious. The sarcasm is awesome& is so realistic. He teaches everything so clear and shows you the easiest ways possible. If you hate HW take him. He ROCKS

On the first day of class he said he didn't care for his college students and he demonstrated that through out the semester. He does not like to answer questions and if you ask him something he replies you should know that and moves on to the next section.He gives you notes that don't apply to test.You've been warn!

Glad to have been taught by someone like him. Helped me to UNDERSTAND and ANALYZE everything about the material so that I'm not just writing down equations without knowing where they come from or what they are useful for. Your grade is based on tests ONLY which has kept me on my toes. Study hard! You'll earn your A and grow as a math student.

Comment:

Best math teacher I ever had, but you have to work hard and study. He will stop class to explain anything you need until you understand it. He only gets short with students who aren't putting forth a high level of effort. Bring your A game and he will make you forget you were ever "bad" at math.

He is rude and condescending when answering questions. Does not grade hw, you CAN ask questions if your up for being treated badly. The grades are solely based upon 3-4 tests,nothing else,no extra credit. He says he doesn't like the book, but always uses it. Says he doesn't use trick questions, but his tests are mostly comprised of them. Good Luck.

I rated the textbook as "2" because it is only useful for the homework problems, and then only marginally. Get Precalculus for Dummies and the Schuam's book and you'll have a better shot. Sark is a great teacher who explains concepts well and tests students' understanding of the concepts. It's a hard class with a lot of material. Do the homework!

If you don't study for the class you won't pass. He is very clear when he explains a concept that will show up on test. He expects you to have strong algebra background and won't go into detail explaining it. He grades somewhat hard but if you study the final is VERY EASY. Overall he has great attitude. I used to like math now I'm into it. GREAT.

awesome teacher! he does make rude comments but you cant take them seriously. its just the way he is. he will help always and makes class very interesting and brings in the answer to the question everyone asks "when will i ever use this again in life?" by giving real life examples to every type of problem. overall an amazing teacher!

Sark is a great teacher, he really is passionate in what he does. I haven't taken a class with him at hancock yet.. but I did take his Calc class at St. Joes.. and I learned so much. *thumbs up* definitely a must if you actually want to learn the stuff....

Math 141 at night. This is a very fast paced and difficult class. The nights are long (we often cover two sections a night). He does his best to make math interesting and understandable and to prepare students for calculus. Tests are timed and difficult.

Although he makes us work hard for our grades, he explains well. He is the best I've seen at writing on the board while talking! Though no credit for homework, he spends up to an hour answering questions & clarifying. I can get an A only if I do the extra problems at the end of each chapter.

Comment:

Impatient and pretentious with students when they ask questions. No homework, but also NO feedback. Confusing lectures.Does not review for tests,or even tell students concepts they must know for them. Grades are purely test based. NO extra credit.Ever.
