Comment:

Hal is the bomb, but boy, do you have to work for the grade you want. SO much material covered, however he makes things interesting and intuitive. 5 exams in one semester is rough, but at the same time, there is less material covered for each one, so it is manageable. Would recommend though.

His exams are hard but he is willing to help during office hours. His ASA was very helpful for studying. Make sure to be awake for lectures because they are long and not the most interesting things in the world. Doesn't help that I'm not good at physics (and apparently still am not).

He is very good at teaching and he is there for you if you have any problem with your homework. however, Do not expect his exam to be easy. They are savage. If you don't care about your grade, which most people do, then he is the best one for you but if you are going for grades just avoid him.

Comment:

One of the hardest, yet one of the best. Test are very challenging. If you are EE or EP I recemend him over any other because you will learn the material well. If you just want your passing grade take someone else. I strongly recommend.

I liked him. It seemed like he put a lot of his own time into preparing lectures and helping the class understand the material. He does expect equal effort though. The class is based around an online physics program. Exams were fair and only 52 minutes long, sometimes he gave extra time. Likes to see students succeed and cares about his job.

Gives good lectures, and entertains students questions and interests. holds great hours and keeps a clear and updated syllabus. sometimes takes more time than normal to explain things. tests are fairly written and graded. Is willing to have students argue their grades on tests.

He is a very nice guy. Fairly clear on the material, quiz every Friday, should help grade. Mastering Physics on the internet is also a grade booster, because you WILL need it, his tests are REALLY, REALLY HARD. I got rocked on most of them, otherwise not too bad.

Challenging, makes you think about your lab observations and results, points out things in the reading and makes you deduct results. Will give you hints. The exam was tough but the labs were graded fair to generously. Nice and enthusiastic man and teacher, can be quite funny. "Time marches on"
