Amazing Professor, she was always so helpful and understanding. Gives a very good amount of extra credit points towards your grade! Highly suggest to have her as a professor! I took the online version of the Survey of Anthropology. She is very engaged with her students and very caring!

She is very responsive to emails and is interactive with her students even while being on an online course. She does give a lot of essays and discussions that require a bit of writing, so if lots of writing isn't for you, then proceed with caution if thinking about taking her online class.

Gayle is a great professor who gives good feedback and regualrly emails students on class updates and assisnment reminders. Very good communicator who is willing to help you get through the class, so long as you are willing to put in the work.

I took both Sociology and Anthropology form Prof. D'Andrea on-line. She is friendly and eager to help, not with just the learning experience and content, but also with the social work transfer program to VCU. I would love to take one of her classes in person.

Honestly a great teacher, just a lot of work to do over the semester but it's never anything super difficult. She helps you a lot with staying on top of your assignments.

She gives extra credit, which is really nice. She also allows two attempts on the module quizzes. Some of her grading criteria is confusing, but it was only for a few things throughout the semster. She was happy to answer questions and provide help.

This class is great and interesting. Prepare to read and write a lot! I took the class online so I'm not sure how she is in person but she responded to all my emails and was quick at grading.

Be prepared to work in groups as there is a group assignment that will meet once a week in class, the assignments for the group projects are rather easy and you get to meet new people. A total of 4 essays, one each month. No tests, a quiz on canvas each week which are on the material you learn in class. Professor D'Andrea is very nice woman. 10/10
