I'm going to make your life so much easier. The class is ridiculous easy it's just really long and boring. Here's what you do. Show up everyday until the first quiz. Then don't come until midterm review day you can get literally every single thing on the midterm on review day. Then again come everyday until quiz 2. Then chill til final review day.

She gets mad easily and makes the class pretty hard for a GE class especially in the arts area. You can take a class thats 100 times easier than this, or if you just hate yourself just take this class.

Don't take this class, She is extremely rude and will stop lecture if your phone goes off or if you come in late to class. She will even take away your phone in front of a hundred students! She is passionate in her teaching but she does not provide great power point presentations and your notes will be based on what she says. This class was horrid.

Comment:

I have taken three classes with her and I love love love her class. She is honest and fair about her policies, but she is also very accommodating. Ask for help and she'll give it! Her lectures can be boring but if you pay attention, shes very engaging. I have learned so much from her classes. I would recommend her but I think she is retiring.

I do not know where to start. It is true that she is very passionate about art history but because of this, she has an aura of arrogance. Not to mention, she stops class for the smallest of reasons. If your sneeze sounds like a phone ring tone, you WILL get kicked out of class. She has called my class stupid and cowards multiple times.

As a student athlete missing a lot of class, she was not one bit helpful to me. She shows powerpoints in class but will not let you get a copy of them or take pictures for study because they are her "personal property." Would never take her class again

I'm a freshman college student hoping to get the Graphic Design BFA and also a National Guard soldier. I informed her that I'll be missing about two classes because of drill weekends and she snapped saying that she doesn't care, you have to be here in this class or you will be dropped. So much for military friendly.

From my experience, this class is no joke. Probably one of the hardest classes I've ever been a part of. Unless you are an ARTH major or you just really love it, I would advise you NOT to take this class. I struggled throughout the semester. There is 1 quiz, 2 MTs, and a final. She is a tough grader and in order to pass you need to put in work

Gina was a great professor. She is very knowledgeable and definitely knows what she is talking about. She is very passionate about the subject. She is very sophisticated and poised but has a sense of humor. A reasonable amount of effort is needed to pass the class, but hey, your in college. Exams are identifyingEssay question. I passed with an A.

If you are looking for a class to just slide by with no effort, Strumwasser is NOT for you! I have had her several times and she is a well of knowledge and is passionate about art history. But she is also not afraid to tell you to leave if your phone goes off or you're late. If you don't like art, you'll likely be very bored.

She is everything that you would expect a college professor to be. She is blunt and bold. If she doesn't like something she is not afraid to tell you. Class is boring unless very interested in Art. Strumwasser is one dedicated teacher who knows her stuff. Lectures are a must because everything she talks about will be on the midterms and final.she's kind of strict about a lot of things like coming in late or talking while she's talking, but it makes sense because's she really just wants everyone to excel and doesn't want to waste time

GOOD TEACHER, BUT YOU MUST ATTEND CLASS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT ARE GOING TO BE ON THE 2 MIDTERMS. THE MIDTERMS ARE HARD BECAUSE THEY HAVE ESSAYS AND IT IS UNCLEAR ON WHAT YOU MAY HAVE TO STUDY FOR. BUT THE QUIZZES AND FINALS ARE REALLY EASY. JUST MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND EACH PAINTING AND COME TO CLASS.

Has a few rules which she is very strict about, no talking, cell phone, electronics, and especially walking in late/leaving early. Tells a great story of the artists. Midterms are easy; remember a few keywords for the art and then B.S. your way through the essays. Put the slightest bit of effort into the class and it will be an easy A. Yes, she makes a spectacle if you come in late, or play with your phone in class, so don't do it! She appreciates students who show effort.

Don't be late. No feet on chairs. Don't talk. Don't cough. Don't smile. Breathing is okay, unless you do it loudly. Answers are given in class. Switch off days and share notes. She is terrible, rude, and thinks she is better than the world. Class is hard if you don't get notes or can't spell. Answers must be word for word and spelled right.
