Great teacher and person. Go to his office hours for help and to get the know the guy. Lecture style takes a week to get use to but after that the class went smoothly

Professor Ali was very hard to understand, and it is hard to read his writing on the board. He isn't very compassionate or understanding. I would suggest not taking any classes with him teaching.

I find these reviews pretty funny. Dr. Ali will cut you a break and bump you up if you show improvement over the semester. If you don't understand the material just go to office hours and he's usually pretty clear. Although he can get frustrated quickly if you continue asking the same types of questions. GO TO CLASS!

Worst class I have ever had. I am not bad a math, always a straight A student but this teacher sucks, not only at teaching but at simple English too. He messes up on notes and the notes aren't even examples of what's on the quizzes and homework. When you ask for help, he says go to the tutor room. The other day, he messed up subtracting by 2.

This guy is a great professor. If you attend lectures and actually listen, you will see that he offers some really great insight into how a concept works as he is doing example problems on the board. Linear Algebra has by far been my favorite math class, and I am really glad I had the opportunity to take this class with Dr. Ali.

Aweful! Would never take a class from this prof again. Hard to understand and follow. Makes mistakes and then says "you can fix them yourselves later". When asked for help, he says "you know what you are doing. Just look at the book." or else he talks around the question without actually answering it.

I had him for Calc 2 and found his teaching style very helpful. Gives a quiz at the end of the week and labs in between. The tests are fairly simple as long as you understand the basics.

Prof. Ali is a really good professor. Once you get past the accent difficulty (disappears quickly) he is easy to understand. He writes a lot on the board, which makes it easy to take notes, makes up his own examples (in class, I might add) and this has led in the past to ponderous moments for him. But Prof. Ali is really good; I recommend him.

Professor Ali was alright... the accent was a bit hard to understand, and he did get frustrated if the class didn't get something. He seemed like he was going to be grading harder than he ended up grading. I would agree that it would be fine to take this course if you get math easily - he's just not good at explaining things
