Frau Terjung is a great teacher who genuinely cares. Though the workload can seem heavy at times it is definitely manageable and you'll actually learn the language. Go to her office hours if you need any help. She is always willing to provide help.

If you have the chance, TAKE HER. Even though the homework was overwhelming at times, it really improves your German ability. The class is well organized, and she's a very fair professor. Prof. Terjung is also incredibly kind and supportive--just don't be afraid to ask for help when you're lost!

She is so nice, and really wants everyone to do well. She's very understanding with people who are new to German/struggling as long as you're doing all the homework and trying your hardest. I have been taking German for my whole life but I still learned a lot from her. I'm definitely going to miss German!

What a wonderful teacher. I have never been so loved by a teacher. I actually learned and I could always go in early for her to check my work to get a 100%, same with the final and midterm. She was so great and I would always take her class. I will definitely keep in contact with her.

Frau Ter-Jung is a wonderful and kind professor to work with. She is there to help the students and is happy to answer any questions you may have. She lives very close to campus and has welcomed students old and new to knock on her door if they have any further questions or help needed.

Comment:

Very encouraging, fantastic, nice, explains everything really well. The opposite of strict and uptight, she will never get angry about late work. That said, do everything on time and you will be glad you did come test time. She gives too much lousy busywork, but in light of what a great professor she is, it balances out. Also, the projects suck.

Frau Ter-Jung is the best professors I ever had. I think the thing that sets her apart is how she RESPECTS you as a student and does everything she possibly can to help you learn. Whether this means altering the course or traveling with you to Germany, she'll do it. After a few semesters with her, you'll feel deeply indebted to her. I know I do.

I love this class. Coming from four years of high school Spanish where all we did was memorize conjugations, this was a refreshing change. Definitely take her, if anyone. She loves the language, loves to teach, and it's taught communicatively, so you'll actually be able to have a decent conversation with a German speaker by the end. Recommended!!!

Frau Ter-Jung is amazing. She is so nice and so willing to help you succeed. She gives a good deal of homework, but she is extremely flexible with deadlines, so it's not terribly difficult. She expects students to learn, but her class is so much fun you can't help it anyway. Definitely take her if you need to take German.

Phantastich! Frau Ter-Jung is one of those bomb-diggity language instructors who just wants you to learn. She'll have you do cultural German-related stuff and teach you real well. The work takes time, but do it! Great prof.

Heather Ter-Jung is the coolest language prof. at Chapman University. Her class can be hard at times, but most of the times, her class is always fun and exciting, not to mention the role-play/acting part .
