Dr. Imam he is a really great guy and cares about his students. Although attendance is not mandatory, if you go to class or talk to him, he is extremely understanding of your life as a college student and if you are struggling in his class he help you out and rewards students who put effort into his assignments

70% of the class was based on two tests, and no study materials were given such as practice tests or even correct homework solutions. prof is rude to students and sent rude emails when asked for such materials

Took 130 online. The cost was $1,600.00. The powerpoints were 4 years old, had no interaction with other students or the prof, grade was 35% each for two tests and 30% for hw. Had no idea what would be on the test. Was doing this as a first step to an MS in CS. Class was not worth the money and this prof is terrible. Looking for other programs now.

Overall ineffective teacher. Does not communicate information well and then assigns homework that is not helpful in learning the concepts. Be prepared to self-educate on coding concepts. Generally rude to students.

I'm considering dropping out of the computer science program because of Dr Imam. Horrible lecturer and class structure. Each test is 30% of your grade and there are only 2 . There is no way to even have an idea of what will be on them. He's destroyed the desire I had to learn programming and continue. He is the opposite of what a teacher should be

Comprised of 80% Tests and 20% Homework, no curve, 10-point scale. He is an intelligent teacher that goes by his powerpoints, but his tests are literally awful. The questions are either too vague, worded wrong, or contain programming mistakes. It is hard to tell if he meant to add the mistakes or not. Best advice is to try to obtain practice tests.

Please take my advise and avoid this horrible man at all cost. Does not care about his students at all. Grades and acts like this class is a intermediate or higher level class when it is an introductory level class. Take someone else

When trying to learn a new subject such as computer programming, it is best not to have a professor with the charisma of a dirty dish rag. Imam's class was graded on 3 assignments: 30% mid-term 30% final 40% lab/homework The average score for his midterm and final were each around 40-50 percent with no curve at the end of the semester.

This is one of the worst teachers i have ever had. He was a decent lecture, however he did not give any practice test, so we had no idea what the test would be like. The two test count for 50 percent of the grade. I ended the class with a 69.53 percent and he refused to round it ( like a decent person) to get a C instead of a D+. Take someone else

Imam is very severe, demands respect, but definitely knows his stuff. If you go to lecture and pay attention, as well as do the lab and homework assignments, the material is easy to learn. He always hangs around after class to answer questions, but sometimes rambles during lecture. Kind of scary, but a good professor pay attention and follow rules.

Amazing professor. The tests were pretty much the exact same as the practice tests he posted online. All around a good guy who cares about his students. Does get off topic occasionally, but even then, it's a fairly engaging conversation. Low lighting does put some to sleep.

Rambles a lot and spends too much time on the easy topics. The more confusing topics he speeds through. Sometimes he can be perfectly clear but most the time its extremely confusing. The book was hard to read and comprehend and the lectures weren't much better. On the bright side the exams are really close to the practice ones he post online.

The online class was good. He put all his lectures online. The material isn't that hard after the first couple weeks. The practice tests are very similar to the test he will give you for a grade.
