Comment:

One of the most confusing teachers I've ever had. I only ever learned something when we had a guest speaker or alumni come in and talk. The lectures are pointless and you get tested over material you've never seen in your life. Really only good for the connections you can make.

Comment:

LOVE her, but she doesn't do the best job at teaching the course material. Take advantage of the guest speakers and alumni she brings in bc you will learn the most about marketing from them and they are great connections. Tests are online, but difficult to do well bc they are derived from the book which she doesn't teach. Not difficult to get an A!

Comment:

Tests are semi-difficult because they are derived from the book which we do not discuss during class. However, Irene is awesome at showing you what is actually happening in digital marketing through her network of alumni, guest speakers, and her own experiences. Would recommend if you are a marketing major.

Irene is an awesome person but class can be a little tricky. Tests are tough and lectures are pretty confusing. Class tends to be a bit all over the place. She really cares about her students and wants to see everyone succeed.

Irene isn't the best or most organized professor but she loves what she does and is very accessible outside of class - she talked me through an assignment on the phone once. Dedicated and cares about her students. Would def recommend. She is also well connected and respected.

Hands down the most confusing professor I have ever had, you will most likely never know what is due, tests will be over material you never cover, nor you knew you had to cover. Even when you ask you will get confusing answers. The actual content of this course should make the course an easy A. Also cancels at least once a week, which hurts grade.

Irene has real-world experience and will get you connected to influential people. She keeps the class engaging with picture/video examples and relaxed class discussions. Class material is pretty intuitive, not hard. Sometimes she can be a bit flaky, but she definitely means well. She'd help you out with anything whether it be class or jobs or life.

Great professor. Very passionate about subject. High energy--Imagine being taught marketing by Flo (from progressive ads) as a peppy cheerleader on crack and prozac. I never knew a powerpoint could be so upbeat. By far one of the bast classes I've taken in years.

Does not give course expectations of class. Changes assignments given based on her whim. All over the place. Extremely rude in communications. I have great relationships with all of my others professors but this is one that I would suggest never taking because she does not work with students well

She definitely has an interest in marketing but the class is set up very poorly. The percentage weight for the assignments didn't add up. We never went over anything in class that was relevant to what was on the test. You really need to teach yourself in this class.

Irene is one of the nicest professors I have ever had. You definitely need to study for her tests and put in a substantial amount of effort tho. She is always willing to help and she is pleasant to be around. Take her!

She is quite a scatterbrain and class is never very focused. gives extra credit opportunities which is nice but test material comes from powerpoints and textbook, nothing from class. A good portion of class time is usually spent with her showing us emails from what previous students are doing now and with other random things unrelated to the class

The class could be better, but she tries to incorporate too much into the class and everything kind of loses its meaning. She is a good teacher and is always willing to help a student. She is a professor worth knowing and can help you in the business world in a big way.
