Comment:

Had her for culture and ukrainian language courses. Easy teacher, just show up and hand stuff in. The culture course is EXTREMELY EASY as long as you dont mind 2 seven page essays. you get to choose the topics. The language courses are great, even if you dont speak it. She goes at your speed to make sure you learn.

Comment:

Iryna wasn't so worried about keeping up to speed with the textbook but more about making sure we understood what we were learning. She wanted to make sure we were having fun with the language. She genuinely wanted us to pass on exams so she asked us what we wanted on it. Don't be afraid of asking her for help!

A lovely lovely person who treats her students like humans. Though her teaching style is maybe not the most effective, it's still solid and she's a doll who will do anything to help you. Enthusiastic and loves to chat with and get to know her students. A delightful little lady with fun classes.

She's super nice and very helpful, but her marking system seems to be totally arbitrary. Getting 2/3 of the questions right on a test can net you anywhere from a C+ to an A.

i found that she didnt really help me as much as i would think and at some points when she would ask me to say something, she wouldnt really pay attention to me or either put me on the spot, but i really really like how she grades and she leaves student LOTS of room for inprovement

BEST PROF EVER IN THE WORLD! She cares about all her students & yes, u can get an "A" in her Intro class w/ no prior knowledge of Uki just by showing up, trying, & getting your work done on time. She doesn't take off late marks! EZ! *She makes learning fun* The one thing I'll remember about Uki class will be leaving there laughing everyday! PARTY!!

Funny, pleasant, smart, thorough; what else can be said? The ONLY issue I have is that her definition of a rule is not a proper one; "uni" is supposed to be two syllables by definition, not one, as she teaches, which can lead to confusion when doing the language lab. This isn't a big problem, and I think I'm going to talk to her soon about it.
