He's a really easy professor, he prepares you for the exams. The exams are just like the study guides he puts on Blackboard. He explains everything slowly and clearly. 3 quizzes, 2 midterms and a final, and a group project.

Broughton is one of the best professor I've had thus far. It's very important to pay attention during lecture even though they can be a bit dry. Gives practice exams that prepare you extremely well for quizzes, midterms & finals. One group project which he shows you how to do step by step. Would definitely take him again.

Super dry lectures and he hates his life which makes class hilarious bc he roasts everything. Tests are EXACTLY the same as practice tests basically so literally do them 20 times over and memorise the problems. Mainly have to teach yourself but it's doable. If he knows you he'll pass you at the bare min

He definitely knows the material and is pretty clear on what he expects you to know, but his lectures are quite lengthy and the material is kind of dry by nature. There are 3 tests, some quizzes, and a project. Listen to the lectures and really look at and study the practice tests and you should be able to do well in this class.

Always available to help during office hours or before/after class. Usually just sits in his chair the entire time and lectures but the concepts are pretty easy to understand on your own if you dedicate time to it. GO OVER PRACTICE TESTS. Basically the same thing.

Practice exams are pretty much exactly like the actual exam. If you show up to class, pay attention, and go over the slides/practice exams before the tests then you should be able to get an A no problem. Broughton does have a monotone voice so class can get a bit boring sometimes but he throws in some humor here and there to wake the class up.

Tough because it's basically 2 midterms and a final. He just reads off PowerPoint slides that are on blackboard. You'll be teaching yourself, but you can do it. It's manageable, but unless you're a finance major you'll probably get a C

Do the practice problems on the syllabus and the practice exams and it will make the midterms a lot easier. He has a dry sense of humor and is a solid finance professor. Try and participate because it'll be beneficial if he actually knows you.

Dude is a solid professor, class starts off a little slow but ramps up pretty quick. Take good notes and pay attention and you'll do fine. He offers 1-2 review sessions on campus the weekend before any exam to make sure you're prepared. He wants you to do well and will help you in any way possible to get the highest grade you can.

Such a great professor! Went slowly through the material and made sure everyone understood. Kind of has monotone voice but if you actually listen he is super funny. I made sure to pay attention in class and didn't have to study at all for tests. Has review sessions before each midterm and practice midterms that are almost identical to real thing

This class is not easy, but it is very possible to get a good grade. I had to study really hard for his tests and pay good attention during his lectures. If you can do all of the problems on his practice tests, you will be in great shape for his exams, which are challenging. Read the book. It helps with a LOT with the concepts. He knows his stuff.

Jack is a really cool guy, laid back and really clear on what he wants. During class he goes pretty slow but he explains everything. He's really helpful outside of class so just go to him with questions. I'd take him again for sure.

Good professor, although lectures can be long and hard to stay interested after awhile. He goes over notes and problems very slowly which is extremely helpful and easy to understand. Practice tests are pretty much identical to actual test. Interesting class and I learned a lot.

Jack make finance interesting and makes the difficult subject matter understandable. Lectures are straight forward and test are challenging, but what do you expect, it's school and you are paying for an education. Willing to help you any time. Very outgoing and approchable. Very smart and knows his information, but not a good tennis player.

Condescending and patronizing. Unwilling to spend time helping students-- you better have a friend in class who "gets it" or you're just out of luck! Unclear on instructions and how items in assignments are weighted. Sounds like Ben Stein-- very hard to sit through 3 hr classes.

Tests are difficult, especially since there are numerous formulas to remember for calculations on the test. If you study the practice exam thoroughly, you will do well on the real exam because they are very similar. Made a 3 hour class fairly interesting considering how dry the material was. Provides good REAL WORLD insights.

This is quite possibly the worst teacher that I have ever had! I pity anyone who has to take his class. He is very rude and unwilling to help his students. He breezes through the material so quickly that it is impossible to follow unless you have some prior knowledge on the topic.
