Ive had Pez for 3 classes. I will be taking him again next semester as well. He can lay a lot on you, so you have to stay on top of it. I have taken a lot from his playing and teaching. I also think that he is a genuinely fun dude to take a class with.

Pez is the man. His lessons are dense and informative, but hes a laid back funny dude. Hes one of the teachers that plays really great but doesnt treat teaching like a boring side gig.

Jack is not only an amazing guitarist, but he is there to tell you the truth about the music industry. Jack is able to relate to you and give you a lot of help on guitar even if your not necessarily Jazz oriented. Also he's a hilarious guy with great stories. I've had him as my private instructor for two semesters and I doubt i'm going to switch.

Jack Pez is the man. His knowledge of harmony and theory is beyond most. He is one of a kind, and even though he can sometimes bee a kook you will leave each class feeling inspired and wanting to spend extra hours in the shed. Make sure you get on his good side!

It's week 11 now. We've had the ensemble 3 times on the Scheduled day and once on a Saturday as a makeup. Dude, does Monday not work for you? You come to Berklee to play music. It's frustrating that a class you look forward to gets cancelled 8 times, and probably more before finals week. I want my money back.

Jack is a great jazz guitarist. If you play styles that aren't strict jazz, he will make fun of you for it in a very mean way. I think he may be a little bitter about the music industry, because he seems to enjoy lording over his students. This man embodies everything bad about berklee, and Is too self absorbed to teach well.

misses class a lot. had him for private instruction and he missed tons of lessons. goes too fast, and has no structure. does not make sure you know basics before going into stuff that builds off those basics. great guy but doesnt really care about teaching. However, if you want to learn chords/ chord soloing you can learn more from him than anyone

Had him for a lab and p. instr. You can learn a lot from this man. But you need to be at a certain (high) level to really take full advantage of his knowledge, both guitar and harmony (theory)-wise. He's a monster for chord soloing (and lines,too,but his c.s. is beyond world-class). Also think most people misunderstand him for a jerk (&he's not).

I had Jack's performance skills lab and knew he would be a good private instructor. Jack's a monster jazz player and has a ton to teach you. Plus he's super easygoing and funny. Highly Recommended.

He also misses ALOT of class, and just jams during class instead of teaching. Tells stories, etc, inappropriate jokes, ends class early every time

Jack is an incredible player and has a wealth of knowledge to share but he is just a simply unpleasant person. He doesn't hesitate to badmouth great jazz musicians and diminish their accomplishments because he is jelous he is not well known. He tends to SHOW and not teach and his written excersizes are chicken scratch.
