I'm going to find some way to take Keaten again. If you aren't taking it from me, take it from his 27 other great reviews. He's everything you want in a college professor and more. He gets to know you personally and he's engaging and funny. The work can be difficult, but he makes it worth your time. Hands down, my favorite professor at UNC.

Comment:

Dr. Keaten is seriously the best professor at UNC. His class is so fun and you learn a lot. He doesn't really lecture and you won't take notes in his class, which I loved. He uses a lot of handouts and I loved that too. He also expects you to participate a lot. He does have weekly quizzes that are only over textbook readings so you have to read!!

I LOVE Keaten. Absolutely one of the best professors I've ever had and that UNC has to offer. He is so personal in the best ways, takes time to know and understand all his students, I am taking another class with him next semester. Be aware of weekly quizzes however, so DO THE READINGS!

Having the textbook is very helpful! He has quite a few quizzes and then a presentation about a country as well as an interview with him. This class was very fun but study well!

Probably the best professor I've ever had. Admittedly, I was in his courses about 10 years ago, but I remember them like yesterday. I still take courses for fun every semester, and I still haven't had a better professor than Dr Keaten. His lectures where phenomenal, and he took time to get to know every student in the course. Take his class!

I didn't really know what to expect from the class, but I learned so much and he is an amazing man. He asks how you are doing, learns your name, and really cares about you. He insight on things left me awestruck (I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true). Even though you can get away with missing a class every now and then, I never wanted to.

Keaten is hands down the best professer i've ever had. He is passionate about the subjects and truly cares about his students. The material is tough but you'll have no problem understanding it with him. He doesn't teach any of the classes i have left to take and i'm super bummed about it. TAKE KEATEN!

Professor Keaten is an amazing professor you will learn so much about intercultural communication, he has great lectures and lesson plans laid out each day it will be something new and fun. You wont want to miss the class because it is so hands on and helpful whether you need a LAC or your major take Keaten!!!

Keaten is by far one of the best comm professors at UNC. He's clear, he's concise, and everything you learn in his class will help you later in life. I am a better person and a much better leader after taking his leadership class.
