Comment:
Lectures weren't very helpful but if you have ever taken a calculus course then you will be fine. Don't really need to be in class, just quizzes/test and homework weekly. Very nice but didn't explain things very clearly in ways that I understand.

Comment:
His lectures are boring, he does give a clear idea of what will be on tests however tests are extremely short so provides little room for error. Goes through material very quickly and relies on only a few grades. Does replace grades between tests and final. Overall not great, but wouldn't say he is the worst

Prof. Turner took his class seriously, and endeavored to have students understand not only the mathematical formulas, but the concepts behind them. He helped me get a grasp on integral calculus. His homework takes a long time, but it should be noted he gives extra credit on every assignment.

Quizes and tests are a big part of the grade, but he is super clear about what will be on them. He really likes definitions on tests so be ready for that! There are online assignments due pretty regularly but it can typically get done in about a half hour. He is wicked smart and is happy to help but come to class with questions if you have them.

Comment:
Professor Turner is great! Math301 is a really interesting course. The grade was only the midterm, final, and some percentage for homework. He grades really generously, and our class had a take-home midterm. There was also a detailed study guide for the final. I loved this class and I would definitely recommend.

It's hard to find many things that Turner does poorly, but it is equally hard to find things he does really well. Tests are fair, homework is helpful, he is eager to answer questions, but aside from questions, class is nonstop dry lecture. His skill at explaining varies heavily. Lots of homework. Overall, he's hard to hate but equally hard to love.

Turner is hard to get used to at first, but if you stick with it his teaching can be very helpful and he has a great sense of humor. Don't be afraid to have small talk he is a funny guy once you get to know him! Generous grader on quizes, but make sure you really understand the material.

Lectures are long and boring, people fell asleep every day. but it didn't really matter because you don't learn from the lectures, you learn from the online homework assignments. The tests are easy and he grades well and quickly, and is quite forgiving.

Very generous and forgiving grader. Dropped one quiz that everyone did poor on and also bumps your total test grade up if you improve between tests. Pretty good lectures, but he often made simple mistakes. Tests and homework were fairly straightforward, no surprises here.

One of the best professors I have ever had. He teaches the material well, and is willing to go above and beyond working with you individually to review concepts if you do not understand. The tests are always very fair, and if you do the homework and attend class you will do well. I highly recommend him!

Professor Turner is one of the smarter Professors I've had and unlike a lot of smart people, he can actually teach the material well. If you go to class and keep up with the homework, you will do fine in this class.

Turner is a clear professor who taught my entry level Calculus class. He does a good job, but tends to be a little bit inflexible at times.

Very slow class; probably a great calc prof for people that need to get through it. Probably not the best if you want to go deeper in math. Problem sets on the larger side.

I've had this prof twice now due to a difficult schedule and both times he has been an adequate prof. His lectures are just examples out of the book and he can be hard to understand but he definitely knows his stuff. He assigns a lot of homework which can be a pain but he's ok.

Good lecturer. Very clear explanations. Need to get used to lectures on the tablet PC, but that's not hard and can actually be really useful. Homework and tests are very straightforward. Go to class and do the homework, and you will do well.

I really enjoyed my experience with Dr. Turner. He is always willing to help and even elaborate more on topics we didn't have time to cover. He is also willing to review homwork grades. His lectures were always prepared but not necessarily correct requiring him to correct himself as he went. He is extremely approachable. I would suggest him.

I really like Prof Turner. His notes and examples were very clear and step-by-step. Because he does all his lectures on a tablet PC, he can just scroll up to what he wrote before for reference, which is kind of helpful. Also, he was alway VERY helpful after class or whenever he was around. I was not very good at math, but he always helped me.

Great guy who spends a lot of time explaining and giving examples to make sure you understand the material. Tests are easy except for final exam which was a big of a surprise. His problem of clarity arises due to his disability, and he is in a wheelchair. But dont let that put you off.
