Prof. Gould is a very kind person. Statistics is a difficult course, but she made it easy. There are 4 test. The lowest test score is dropped. And the final. She gives tons of extra credit! Be sure to do all bc they really help! Also, her test are open book and it's a huge help.

Comment:

Her exams and final were open book and she gave reviews that mirrored the exam/final, but her lectures are boring and she doesn't have you practice in class. She just tells you how to do problems. I thought I'd get a concept, but failed the exams. She also tells a lot of irrelevant stories that take a lot of class time. Gives a lot of extra credit.

Profesor Gould is my favorite math teacher ever. I have never loved a class more, or looked forward to it as much! I was terrified of statistics before I took this class, but she made it easy. For your grade: 4 tests, one that's dropped (there are no makeup tests) and one final + 50 points of extra credit she adds them all up and then divides by 4.

I am TERRIBLE at math and I passed her class with ease. She is great at teaching and very entertaining, answers any questions you have, responds to emails very quickly, and even uploads your test grades the same night you take the test! I wish I would have known about her sooner.

I definitely recommend this instructor. She gives you a quiz each week and a test for every chapter and extra credit with every chapter test. You drop your 2 lowest quizzes and 1 lowest test grade. So lots of opportunity to get a passing grade. She does move a little fast but she goes over everything with lots of example problems.

FYI: Professor changed her name to Janice K. Gould so thankfully her classes aren't filling up as fast. What an awesome teacher! She makes things simple to understand. Her final exam mirrored the practice final that she handed out. Lots of homework and quizzes but if you keep up and do well on them you can bomb the final and still ace the class!

She is the best of the best to teach Statistics. She does so many examples in class, that I didn't have to do any of the homework. I got a 98% in her class, I mean if you can show up and pay attention then you will be okay! If you don't get something, ask her and then maybe try the homework. Best professor for Statistics and I recommend her!

Just finished this class with an A! You are graded on tests only. There's 4 tests, lowest grade dropped and 50 pts extra credit. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! Homework is not graded, but it's to help you with the examples. ALL tests are open book, including the final. Her reviews mirror tests, so don't miss it. She makes a tough subject easy to understand.

By far the most amazing teacher I have and will ever have in my entire life! She explains everything you need to know about D.E. and is the most helpful teacher ever! She offers loads of ex. cr. and gives amazing test reviews to prepare you for her exams! Just do the homework and get the basics from each problem and this class should be a breeze!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD! I was terrified to take stats but she made it so easy that I actually understood and got above a 100 in this class. All the tests are open book and you can write notecards and stick them in your book! Just do all the extra credit because it really pays off! Very very good teacher!

I was absolutely terrified to take statistics. I actually tried to take it with another professor and had to withdraw. I am so glad I did. I not only did well in this class, but managed to have one of the highest averages. This teacher truly designs the structure of her class to enable her students to succeed! I feel blessed to have had her!

Open book tests and lots of extra credit. Lenient on attendance. Everything is on power points. Do NOT buy new book (can go back to ed. 5), and calculator is necessary. Not too too exciting or fun class, but I'm not too good with math and got a better grade than I ever expected.

BEST PROF. EVER! Straight forward, common sense, if you fail the class you should drop out of College. Open book tests, full reviews before each test. The best professor of mathematics I have ever had in my life. She is a wonderful person and an amazing teacher. I wish to have this kind of person teaching all of my classes. Easy A if you pay attention and do the extra credit! Beware her classes seem to fill up in a matter of minutes because all of SPC knows shes the best math professor there is.

I was skeptical taking this class because I do not like math. However, Pro K made it very easy to understand and gives alot of extra credit. Just follow and study her reviews before the test & the Final and you will pass this class with an A. No quizzes and homework are mandatory. Fo me, this class was easy and I loved it. Overall, she is the BEST!
