Comment:

Richard Wilson is the worst professors I have ever had. He is outdated, and none of his criteria or grading is posted. His lectures are impossible to follow, he rambles about the information and doesn't focus. He has no visuals or guidelines, so unless you write his lectures down word for word you'll miss most of the info. Smart, but bad teacher.

Comment:

Professor Wilson is very knowledgeable but the lectures he gave in class rarely related to any of the material we were quizzed or tested over. To do well on his quizzes, you must read the text very carefully and pay close attention in class because his questions are so specific. His class is difficult but an A can be obtained.

Dr. Wilson is a very hard professor, and it can be difficult to figure out what he's looking for because he often seems to grade based on his personal opinions. He also just lectures all class long, and it can be boring. However, he is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about his students. All in all a decent prof.

Comment:

Richard Wilson is the BEST professor I ever experienced, including a M.Div). I took every class he offered (sometimes more than once). His knowledge is encyclopedic, his teaching style interactive and energizing, and his availability was endless. How does it get better than that???

He is knowledgeable, but he lacks the ability to explain concepts clearly. I'm not sure what good knowledge is to a professor that can't effectively teach. His grading is a mystery for the most part. His grading techniques have a heavy foundation in personal opinion. I can say I would not recommend him to fellow students.

Comment:

Dr. Wilson is an extremely knowledgeable man. Sometimes he was hard to follow because of this, but he really made his students think in his class. This is class was pretty challenging academically, and would be very difficult for someone who had no biblical knowledge or teaching. I thoroughly enjoyed his class, and learned a great deal.

This class is EXTREMELY hard for it to be a gen ed requirement. I love the class discussions, but watch out for the tests! You have to do 5 short essays, 1 long essay, and 25 multiple choice questions...in 50 FREAKIN' MINUTES! He's HARD...but knows what he's talking about; however, not very helpful.

He is by far one of the best ever! Knows what he's talking about, delivers interesting lectures, prepares you well for the tests and is very open minded and respectful of his students' opinion. Take any class you can from this man! You won't be sorry.

Old Testament was fun with him, although we had those quizzes almost every morning. But he was awesome, I paid attention at 8 AM every morning, which is nearly impossible.
