Harper is a decent professor. The problems she goes over in class are not like the ones on the homework, but she is always willing to help during her office hours. Go in before class when a homework is due and she will go over it with you and tell you how to fix what is wrong. Thats the only reason I passed her class!

One of the worst professors I think I've ever had. I didnt think I could like math any less until I took this class, but somehow she made it possible. Was very unhelpful, especially during group projects. Fought me every step of the way whenever I had a question on a test or hw problem.

She is awful! She acts like we are still in high school. There is a seating chart, she only shows part of the notes at a time. She gives easy examples for the notes then on homeworks and tests the problems are way harder. Her voice is also boring and almost monotone, it will put you to sleep and make it hard to learn.

Profesor Harper is an awesome teacher. She is very helful. I sent her e-mails all the time. Her tests are fair. Calculus is a hard class but if you use the TEXTBOOK, and do the practice problems and you will be fine.

Prof. Harper is a nice person. She is willing to do problems in class, and is available after class, during office hours, and through email. She likes to get to know her students...this is not a lecture-style class. However, her ability to actually teach math is "iffy". If i hadn't taken calculus in HS, i would have no clue what's going on in class

Jean is a great teacher. Always availble, willing to help, and gives a challenge. If you pay attention and ask questions and really try with the homework, you will be fine. The poeple saying bad things probably didn't try in her class. If you put in the effort you will do fine. Shes a great professor. I had her freshman year n im a junior now.

I don't understand how anyone could say negative things about Prof. Harper. She is always available for help, she lets you email questions and even lets you check your answers on graded assignments before the due date. Her lessons are clear, and she always takes questions and gives TONS of examples. If you're not doing well, it's your fault.

She was a horrible professor. I went into her calculus class with a comprehensive knowledge of the subject and came out having learned nearly nothing. She was not accesible at all and taught little to nothing during class. She was also very unclear in the way that she described new material and rarely re-explained topics to let material sink in.

I'm pretty bad at math, so the fact that I did not do well in this class and did not enjoy it doesn't say much. Harper is a nice teacher, but she is pretty boring and at 9:30 am, she is really boring.

Eh It's really not a hard class. Make friends with someone and get ready to study with them. Make sure you turn your homeworks in. Studying tips are do the old homeworks, make sure you know how to do it and you're set. I failed because I didn't turn in any homework, but the exams were pretty fair. I would say she's pretty useless though.

i don't know what u r talking about. she's really nice and helpful. i'm not a math person at all, but she makes it easy to understand. if you have a question, go to her office hours, she's more than happy to help. grading seems hard, but go to her office hours for help on hw and she'll give you the answers and full credit.

They must be short on $ in the math dep. because this lady is a joke. One of the worst teachers in the tri-state area. Not professor, teacher, highschool teacher. The math department at this school has solidly the worst reputation and teachers like her are the reason. Grade biasedly, and is unintelligent, also religous projector.

Her homework directions are almost always harder to figure out than the work itself is. She obviously is not very enthusiastic about teaching this course and knows that her students are not either, so she simply doesn't try. I am not impressed with her in any way except that she is extremely good at remembering student names.
