He was not very helpful. He got mad if you asked him questions. He messed up problems on the board all the time and students had to correct him. Not a very good teacher in my opinion.

He's a really nice guy who will go over any question you have about any problem or from the homework, assigns 10 random assignments he will collect and will let you know before hand. Also he does a lot of reviews before the test make sure to keep up and you'll pass.

Very good math teacher. He explains everything in detail and answers all questions you have. His tests are very easy and he goes over everything that's on the test the day before you take it. He only collects 10 homework assignments, but doing them all will help you understand material more. I've never gotten an A in math until his class!

I dropped 098 and retook it will Professor McArthur. He is by far the best math teacher that I have had at JJC. For those that need it straight forward, without all the extra wording. TAKE HIS CLASS! Lectures are clear, only collects 10 random hw assign. (he usually tells you when too) and his test are just like the problems you go over in class.

This professor may be a bit boring but he was very kind. He did not show any attitude or sass when we asked questions and explains the problems fairly well. He made jokes here and there and made sure you were on the same pace. He deletes your lowest test score so you have a better final grade. I really recommend him! Very nice!

I don't know how i felt about this man. Class is a drag, just like him. I passed with an A, but mainly because i knew a lot about what we went over. Drops one test, and collects 10 homework assignments randomly throughout the semester. So 5 tests, and 100 points in homework is all that will count.

Professor McArthur is extremely helpful and patient. If you have any questions, he will help you right on the spot. He always posts homework and test grades within the same day that you turn them in. His lectures are very clear. Overall, he is just a great math teacher, I would recommend taking him.

Easy teacher if you show up and know your stuff then you'll do fine I passed the class with a 97% in the summer session. His notes are easy to understand and is always willing to help you if you have trouble understanding.

Professor McArthur is a fabulous teacher. He is very straight forward on what you need to know for homework and tests. He also tells you when he's going to collect your homework so you can make sure you have it done. Super easy class. Would recommend to anyone!

He was a relatively nice teacher but I found his teaching style hard to understand and he did not seem willing to help. I went to the tutoring center a lot for math help because when I asked questions in class, I felt like he didn't want to help much and he kinda made me feel stupid for asking questions, as if math should come naturally.

I felt that Mr. McArthur's class was very easy. He explains everything in such an understandable way that even I, who isn't the best at math, could comprehend everything. He is very nice and is willing to go over anything you may have a question on. I would definitely recommend him.

He was not helpful AT ALL. Moved through things quickly and often seemed frustrated when you asked a question. He messed up a lot of simple addition and multiplication which only made things more confusing.

As an adult learner out of math for over 20 years I felt he taught well, was eager to answer questions. However, alot of my classmates were immature and disruptive, I think this affected his teaching and I think he just all around was annoyed by my class. Not that I blame him. I wish he'd control the delinquents otherwise, A+ class.

If you are an adult learner that needs math 094 or 098 because you lost your algebra skills since H.S., I suggest another teacher. He doesn't take the time to explain....just expects you to know it.
