he's a pretty good teacher. easy work and gives you enough time to finish every assignment. missing one class will impact your grade more than you think so make sure to do the work or go every day. also if you're forgetful like me, make sure to have reminders for due dates.

for a counseling 20 class, you know the class that's supposed to help you succeed, this was the hardest course i took the whole semester. he talked about how parents who don't go to college don't love their kids. That is disgusting. he made it impossible to succeed and i only missed 1 class. please pick anyone else for counseling 20.

Great teacher ! Tells you exactly what you need to do to pass the class. Show up on time , do all your assignments on time and pay attention. You will do well and if you do miss some days it will be deducted in your grade but extra credit is a great option.

Hes a great teacher even though you lose 25 points if you arent in class or if you go to the bathroom but overall he helps you get ready for what college is going to be like also the workload is easy and the midterm and quizzes are easy so study! Overall hes a great teacher and Ill take him again and class is fun as well.

This class as your first one is definitely a good choice, he prepares you for a lot, especially if you're coming straight from high school. This is a very easy class if you show up and keep up with your work. Prof. is a cool person, he keeps it interesting. highly recommend.

The first class that I took at SMC and Professor Galindo definitely prepared us with the right information and advice needed to succeed in community college and beyond. You just need to show up on time, do all your assignments on time, and study for the quizzes. I 100% recommend taking this class!

Prof Galindo was my first college course ever taken and let me tell you he is AMAZING!! Yes he is STRICT with attendance & homework, but it is for your own good. He is real and straight forward about what he wants from you. Really gives you the tools you need to become a well rounded competitive student. I love his passion and dedication!MUST TAKE!

I took his class during fall 2018, and it was my first class at college. I learned a lot from him. He is such an inspirational teacher. If your are an international student, do not hesitate to take him. He will explain everything very clear.

I took professor Galindo during Fall 2018 from Counseling 20. Make sure to do every assignment because the final exam is hard. He doesn't give a study guide or extra credit. He is very strict on rules. Make sure to read every chapter to get a great score on the final exam. No late work!

You have to be on time. If you get there late, he will mark you absent. Otherwise, He is a really good professor. He explains very good. He will help you to learn and get a good grade if you let him. Maybe he is the best counseling professor. I got a B because I didn't do two assignments but this class is an easy A

Prof. Galindo is amazing! Took him my first semester of college and he was totally straight forward about how to succeed in CC and taught me so much! Hes a really funny guy, but if you plan on being late/absent, thats -25 points. Assignments are very straightforward and easy. As long as you do all or most of them, youll get an A.

Prof. Galindo's Counseling 20 class is a must take for any first year SMC student. He has so much knowledge and is straight up. He teaches you so much you about community college and the way it works. If you need help with anything outside of school, he will always be open to meeting with you. He is very inspirational and will lead you to success.

First SMC class ever and it was a great choice. He keeps it real and offers help if you need it. Breaks down what he expects and provides great lectures. Yes, there are some tests, but he does tell you what to expect on them. Took this class in the summer ( So it's do able).

Mr Galindo is an amazing instructor. He is clear and concise about what he expects from students. He provides good lectures and clear instructions regarding the assignments. If you are late or absent be prepared to lose 25 points however extra credit is provided. He is accessible during office hours in case you need him. I would take him again

Comment:

Professor Galindo really puts a very strong emphasis on personal responsibility as well as accountability for one's actions. He's at heart, a no nonsense professor when it comes to dealing with inconvinient truths about the daily obstacles students face, many of which we place in our own path to begin with. Don't regret a second of this class.

Comment:

Counseling 20 is already an easy class on its own; however, add Galindo in the mix and you got yourself the easiest A in SMC. Yes, he does deduct 25 points for being late/absent but its not that bad. He's a really cool and mellow teacher. Only 19 assignments not including the midterm--which, personally, only required 25 minutes of study time max.

It was a very informative class. All you have to do is show up and do the homework. It's as simple as that. Easiest A I have ever gotten for sure. Not only is it easy but he is actually a very very good teacher and informs his students a lot about succeeding in their college paths. He really cares for his students as long as they come to class.

I just had to withdrawl from this class today. I had the 6:30am class (not a good choice unless you can function that early). Class is easy but lots of homework. He deducts 25 points for being absent/late and it really adds up. Don't be discouraged though, easy class if you pay attention and do the hw. don't miss an assignment! Great professor.

He is the first professor I had and I have to say he is a good professor. He takes of points for being late,going to the bathroom, and being absent but he pushes you to do your best by that I mean he doesn't force you at all. He makes you choose and makes you take responsibility. It's a really good class and recommend you take it with him.
