Comment:

Ms. Killian's courses were some of my favorites during my time at WSU. She was a delightful combination of comical and thoughtful. She is one of the sharpest women I've had the chance to meet.

Comment:

Definitely the weak link among core MPA faculty. Lectures from handwritten notes; her grasp of Urban Studies is good, but her grasp of history matches that of a mediocre high school sophomore. Has to use trick questions on webct quizzes; doesn't try to measure comprehension, just seeing if you did the reading, but they will be 20% of your grade.

Each time I have a class with Dr. Killian, my respect is reinforced. She makes time for me, and she is not my assigned advisor. I went into the class not very interested in the course, and not understanding it. All that has changed. Thanks for looking out for me. If you have a chance, take a class or two from her, you will not regret it!

Excellent professor. Very challenging, but makes you think about the assignments. If you give her your best effort, she can be a very helpful. There is a lot of assigned work, but she makes it interesting and sometimes fun.

Excellent professor. She will not only challenge you in class but she will prepare you for life. Put forth your best and she will recognize it. Put forth a half ass effort and she will also recognize it so be warned. she has a way of knowing your true potential and she expects you to use it!

WebCt quizzes are hard. They're just tricky b/c of the many choices. You'll learn lots from her class. Papers aren't too difficult. She has good slides that highlight the major points of the class as well. Recommend her.

Tough but fair. Expects a lot of her students. Her WebCT quizes are very tough. Took a lot of time with me, both during class time and through email. Very ethical. One minute was mad at her, but over the long run, she was outstanding. She is tops in my book for a reason.

I tooks her ethics class winter 04 and was purposely singled out whenever I asked questions. I truly have a distate for teacher's who abuse their power questions are always arguable by design. very educated lady though
