Best prof ive had at ubc so far. This guy is a genius, hes so smart and explains so well in class. people actually come to lectures and are engaged. answers questions clearly and gives hints for what is on the exams. i recommend him to everyone i know. best prof to take if you want to actually understand civil. barely answers emails though

Taught me very well for many years, very effective, very insistent on specific methods , rather strict, curfews were often an issue. Inspirational and passionate. Travels a lot but will sometimes take me with him.

I'm posting to warn you guys not to buy the Highway Capacity Manual. On the first day, he listed it as a non-optional/essential book. Some suckers spent $200 and halfway through the semester, we haven't used it once. Good prof otherwise.
