Extremely disorganized, unclear with what she wants papers written about. Didn't really teach anything, just assigned reading materials and asked for essays/paragraphs. Does offer extra credit but still would not recommend.

Dr. Rabin is incredible! She is such an intelligent person and therefore I found her class so interesting. It was, however, 100% lecture and required a LOT of reading, but in my opinion Dr. Rabin is worth it! I would definitely take her again. She's amazing.

Comment:

Dr. Rabin is an excellent teacher! I learned so much in her class. It is essential that you come to class on time and prepared or you will not do well. She tells you up front what is expected of you and is a no-nonsense professor. Come to class, listen, take notes and be respectful and you will do very well. If you plan on slacking dont take this.

I took her English class at AACC, which was a religion class. I attend Stanford, and I took her class for an elective so that it would transfer over. She was a horrible teacher and an even worse grader. She grades unfairly, because it's either her way or your out. I'm a A/B student, but I was on the verge of failing her class, so I dropped it.

On first impressions, she was very rude. She is intimidating and makes you feel really stupid. If she doesn't like you or think you'll succeed in the class, she'll let u know. Discussions are actually lectures. Did not enjoy anything about this class or prof. The material is difficult enough, the prof just made it miserable.

Dr. Rabin is the best professor I have ever had!And I do not say that lightly.I greatly admired how she was consistently able to fully cover the material in the time allotted.She is a tough grader, but honestly offers a true college level course by doing so.Simply use her and the writing lab as a resource and you will learn/improve in your writing.

Smart, interesting astute person. Kind of quirky but she's an extremely hard grader. If by your 1st paragraph, she decides she doesn't like it, she will fail you. Very very tough teacher, doesn't really encourage questions in class nor does she like anyone disagreeing with her stone set opinions. If you want an easy A don't take her class.

Dr.Rabin is one of the nicest and most intelligent people i have ever met. Yes she is tough but this is college its not supposed to be easy. She wants everyone to do well and will do anything to help you succeed. If you want to actually learn something, take her class!

While she is very provocative and intelligent, she is as TOUGH AS NAILS!! I liked her, then despised her. She gave me a low B on my research paper on gay rights, when I followed her very narrow tightrope to adjust my paper, she still gave me a bad grade on a paper that was peer-reviewed by another English professor and was supposed to be an A!!

She doesn't help you on you'r paper at all. Her questions are not clear. It will take you until maybe you'r research paper to finally get some type of good grade (C). I mean she is a really smart teacher, but you won't learn from her. I really don't recommend her it took me until the last minute to drop.

Dr. Rabin is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. She really knows her stuff, there is not a question that she cannot answer. Take her Bible and Lit class, you'll like her a bit more. Fair grader. Not "easy" but that isn't a reason to discredit her. I loved her class.

Prof. Rabin means well, just doesn't relay it well to her students. She must follow the "C" standard but enforced it a bit much. Very strict on proper use of MLA. Hard to get an A here. You really have to attend each class and study your butt off!

Dr. Rabin is the worst professor I have ever had. I have had straight A's through english including Eng 121, but I failed every paper I had to write for her. Oh and if you need help you, have to make an appointment during her office hours. She will not give you any assistance after classes. I highly recommend not taking her!!!

Awesome professor...the people that say she was awful are just total slackers that don't know crap about English. She knows exactly what she's talking about and take this class if you actually WANT TO LEARN. Some of the people in my class are total morons who say the most ridiculous things and expect to get good grades despite never coming to class
