She is amicable and helpful, but you have to ask questions! She is obviously passionate about the idea of drawing, less strong on technique. Sometimes she says strange things but she means it humorously and does not insult anyone on purpose. You will NOT NEED most of the things she puts in the bookstore, so pick and choose on your own.

Comment:

Schrift is an amazing potter, and she expects the best from her students. She is passionate and always willing to hold extra help sessions for students in need. Even though class is demanding, the feeling of success upon course completion is worth it. And you have awesome ceramic creations to show off! Overall, I would highly recommend her class.

This prof is amazing. Never have i learned so much while enjoying a class. Great atmosphere, but work intensive. She is extremely helpful and will gladly work with you one on one. You will learn to love clay even if you have no experience. highly recomended!!!!!!

Prof. Schrift puts far more time and energy into her classes than she is obligated to (especially considering that she is jacked over by administration as a part-time employee). very generous. truly cares about students and their work.

She is the most beautiful hearted professor ever!! Her class is never easy, but she makes all students work hard and improve their art skills. She did indeed made all her students artists in just a semester! Everyone loves her and her class :)
