Comment:
A real absolute genius, untethered from societal expectations/norms, Dr. Nagel can change someone's understanding of music like no other composition mentor I have had. He has a raw passionate personality reminiscent of figures like Beethoven and Alastar "Mad-Eye" Moody; culturally opinionated.

He is honestly one of the most intelligent people I have ever met in my life. He will break you out of whatever little musical shell the school of music has built and show you the real world. Highly recommended.

I wish more professors honestly PROFESSED what they they think, rather than hide behind the philosophical lie that they are being "neutral." Nagel actually gave me things to think about, after which I can then agree or disagree. He's probably the only true PROFESSOR I've had since attending BSU's School of Music. This school needs more like him!

Dr. Nagel needs to keep his religious views, or lack there of at the door just like every other professor.

probably the best teacher I ever had. He's not time consious at all which can be annoying for those that have to go to the next class when he's running 10 minutes over, but the problem lies in the fact that I didn't want to leave! He makes form and analysis enjoyable.

One of the best here at BSU's music program. Extremely intelligent and very funny...if you don't take one of Dr. Nagel's classes while here at BSU, you didn't get the full "music department" experience!

Jody Nagel is one of the most intelligent and interesting people you'll ever meet. I thoroughly enjoyed this class, which could be better described as Nagel's section of LIFE 101.

The teaching methods used work quite well for most but some were left in the dust with the information covered. I wasn't one of those left in the dust so it was good for me.
