Very intelligent and has a deep understanding of what he teaches, so he is able to articulate what is going with proper terminology and (somehow) in plain voice. He has a good sense of humor if you pay attention. His tests can be grueling (especially finals), but if you're a physics major you're used to that. Use the book and pay attention in class

His tests were complete and total murder. However, every single class he was actively working through examples, especially ones missed on quizzes, team assignments, and tests. Tests were curved very generously, since most people did badly on them. If you can survive long tests, I highly recommend him.

Lower lvl courses progress at snail's pace, but very clearly. Uses negligible calculus in calc-based phys. Tests are hard due to time/length but doable. Answer questions, but cares TOO much about students (hence speed of matl covered)
