Comment:

She's a nice lady, but she was hard to understand with her accent and the tests were hard because some of the topics weren't really covered very well. Not much homework, but you have to show up to class because you can get enough info to get at least a C on a tests. Didn't even know tests were worth 90% of our grade till finals.

Comment:

Wonderful woman, her stories are interesting and she's really funny. However, this is a class. Not an easy GE if you take her. You won't know your grade at all unless you ask. Her tests don't match up with lectures, making them hard. Long lectures, you MUST pay attention. She doesn't use internet at all, so no Titanium. Write ALL notes. Hard class.

She pushes personal political opinions on students. She is deaf so she talks really loud and will only acknowledge you if you raise your hand. She often repeats lectures for several classes. Her test only have 75% of the material she covered. She often goes off topic for sometimes as long as 10 minitues. You have Tom take good notes to pass.

This class was really nice. The material was pretty interesting, and the professor was really enthusiastic about it. I would recommend that you bring a laptoptablet to take notes though because she kinda jumps all over the place, so you end up editing the notes a lot. The tests are pretty tough, so you need to read the textbook chapters.

Professor Zaidi loves to tell anecdotes to explain things. Tests are SUPER easy and there are a few homework packets throughout the semester that can be filled out just listening to her during class. Just sit in class, dont be distracted and listen to her. Her voice will keep you from falling asleep. I learned some really neat things in her class.

okay...Professor Zaidi is so cute and nice. Like a gramma. BUT she is si difficult, her test are sometimes irrelevant. She does not use titanium. She is picky on her maps. LITERALLY WRITE EVERYTHING SHE SAYS!! Might be a bit boring too. No book.

LOVED HER! She genuinely cares about the class & although her accent is heavy you can still understand her. She is funny & you learn a lot about the world. She does repeat a lot of the same things but I find it makes the exams easier because by then it sticks in your head from hearing her repeat it all the time! You don't need the book!

Don't buy the book just search for maps online. Take notes. Class is boring, she repeats the same info over and over way past the point of "review." Talks about her own random opinions that has nothing to do with subject. Skipped a few classes, still got an A. Color the maps and refresh on the U.S. capitals you learned in 3rd grade, you'll be fine.

Comment:

Professor Zaidi was one of the professors that deeply cared about her student's success & life in general. Although she has an accent that is hard to understand, it is do-able. Her textbooks are not needed and I did perfectly fine just by reviewing the notes. Just let her look it over the class period before the test & you'll do fine. Good luck <3

The class was not fun at all, I got an A- but teaching myself off the book, do not get me wrong she is a wonderful old lady but she's a horrible professor. You can not ditch class and take the book serious. DO NOT TAKE, unless you need this class.

Professor Zaidi is a hoot. If you want to have very interesting and opinionated lessons about the world, take her class. She lived in Trinidad and has a cool accent and a great sense of humor. She is a bit old-school since she doesn't have an email and doesn't update grades but her class was very enjoyable and entertaining.

She basically gives all the answers for the test during class and gives packets with maps for any locating that will be on the tests. I did not need to buy the textbook since she tells you everything you need to know. Go to class and write down everything she says and you'll be fine. She's very understanding and easy to talk to.

She is the worst professor ever! Do not take her class! I go to class everyday and take good notes and am failing. Her tests are impossible. I've never had a bad professor at Fullerton and she is the absolute worst! Do not take her.You have to write down everything. And she's deaf and doesn't write on the board or use powerpoints.

Zaidi too often uses the class to promote her conservative agenda and refuses to use any modern technology. No blackboard. No Powerpoint. No email. No phone number to reach her. Class is easy enough if you attend. No need to buy the book.
