her energy is unmatched. she is caring and very interactive with the class. her practice exams are very helpful, but study, her tests are harder than expected. but you learn. also, do the extra credit!!! she will curve your grade if she sees that you tried!! i wish she would teach upper division chem. she posts lectures AFTER class

I was absolute garbage at chemistry until I had her class. She's not intimidating or hard on students. Homework was easy to stay on top of, and it helped my grade. Her test questions require you to master the material, but she gives you all the tools you need to become a master. I got a D in high school chem and got an A with Dr. Robins! Take her!

She could make a rock excited about chemistry but due to the power points not being provided before class, not filled in when posted (meaning you HAVE to attend) and rapid pace taught for a 100 level class, I would recommend someone else. Especially if it's been a while since you visited chemistry fundamentals.

If you need lecture slides in class to follow along, THIS IS NOT WHO TO TAKE. I didn't know that was how I learn best, and had a horrible time in her class. Now I know better, and can't take her again. Her enthusiasm is contagious for chemistry and science knowledge in general, so props to her for that, but it took a $$ tutor to pull my F to a C ):

THE BEST AND SWEETEST PROFESSOR EVER!!! She makes everything SO easy to understand. We get 5 pop quizzes but those are PURELY extra credit. I took her for CHEM103 too and she made me understand everything so well. I had no background in chem and I was a able to get As on all my exams. She drops 1 too. Do whatever you can to take Dr. Robins!!

People adore her for her passion ad work ethic in the field of Chemistry. She is a great teacher no doubt, but she assumes everyone gets her lecture as soon as she presents them in class. She also negates the fact that certain concepts on her exams are tough and need time to complete. You won't have time to review/finish your semester exams.

Dr. Robins is the best professor I have had. Her teaching style is very clear, she answers your questions very well, and she makes sure that we understand and are on the same page with her. She is always willing to help you get through the class the best she can, as long as you look for help. She is very organized in her teaching and grading.

She is super cool and very helpful with all the content in the course. She explains things and shows how to do problems step by step. Her tests have problems that she explains in lectures so as long as you pay attention and do homework/study you'll be fine. It is not that hard as long as you try.

Kathy Robins is one of the best professors in the College of Science. She teaches in a way that students can understand. Chemistry is not an easy subject, but she makes it enjoyable to learn. I love that she was always eager to help during her office hours and she responds to emails quickly. I highly recommend!

If you attend class, everything should come easy to you. Make sure you hurry to enroll in her class because it's usually filled within the hour.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Took both 101 & 121 with her! I wish she taught more Chem classes! Homework is extra credit, practice tests are just like actual tests, team quizzes with partners, online quizzes (textbook access code) and cumulative final. Go to SI for 121 if you're lost, my grade went from an F to a C overnight thanks to SI! GREAT TEACHER!!!

Dr. Robin's class truly opened up my interest and passion for chemistry and I am not a chemistry major. She's an extremely generous grader, never take short answer exams for granted because she gives so many partial credit points. Go to office hours and she's great! Would've gotten an A, if I wasn't taking biology at the same time.

She doesn't post power points before class which is annoying. However, she gives practices exams prior to the real exams which help a lot. She cares about her students and class lectures aren't horrible. Overall she was pretty good and considering the alternative teachers I would take her.
