Sadly Professor Manaster is retired. He's a great 1L teacher and knows his subject matter inside out. Also very helpful and open to discussion to students who may not know how to ask questions of law as of yet.

Professor Manaster has been teaching torts since before I was born, as a result he's got his approach down pat. He assigns individuals to be "on call" the week before, which is a nice break from being on edge during every class. There are decades worth of past exams available, and 1Ls would be wise to take as many as possible prior to the final.

definitely take the practice exams he has up - there is a LOT. i, unfortunately, didn't take any before the exam because i was obsessed with outlining...wish i didn't do that. heard the practice exams helps a lot. other than that...nice professor and straight forward.

Fantastic teacher. Not dull at all, IMO. Very approachable, esp for 1Ls. Highly knowledgable . . . you'll learn a lot. Highly recommended.

He talks a lot. Sometimes its hard to realize where question starts and chatting begins. Especially when you're on call! Go and talk to him before you take an exam. There are certain things he wants to see. If you do a practice exam and talk to him before you take a test, it'll help you a LOT!!
