This lady is a tough cookie and can be hard around the edges but she has a really good heart, passion for her job, and damn well earned her degree and shes well aware of that. Study, pay close attention in class cause sometimes her accent is confusing, show up, do your homework on time and you will succeed greatly.

She wants you to be successful but she is very tough grader. If you are bad at grammar she will help you through the different methods. If you just want to pass, don't take the class. If you want to be successful, take the class.

Sweet lady, but don't let her sweet smile fool you! Run! Although I have a B+ its very difficult. She's unclear, extremely heavy load, don't ever and I mean ever miss more than 1 class. Very hard grader! Expectations very high and nearly impossible! Even my counselor says if you can survive her and pass that u can get thru anything!

My second semester with Jagasia went a lot smoother after knowing her expectations. If you want an easy A, don't take this class. If you want to work for your grade, and learn to properly use written language then do take this class. If you follow her guidelines and spend the necessary time on assignments, you can definitely get an A.

Yes, she is a hard grader. However, I'm so glad I had her for my English professor. I learned a lot in this class. She focuses a lot on grammar and punctuation. If you want an A from this professor, you really have to work for it! If you want to learn a lot, then you will probably benefit from this class.

Her instructions are completely unclear, and she does not even come close to modeling proper grammar and punctuation. Even when I asked for clarification, she was very unhelpful. Instead of answering my question she advised me to figure it out for myself without even a hint. I have never been more disappointed with an English course in my life.

Mrs. Jagasia is a wonderful teacher. She is tough on grading, but what else makes you want to do better? If you spoke up like I did, she would explain things to you until you understood them. She's a great teacher & very passionate about her work, her students, and their work. I'd gladly take her as my professor again, any day of the week.

Saw someone else's comment about avoiding her & taking Lori Cinotte's English Class at IVCC. Good call. If you miss as least ONE class with Koshu, you're done. You're "disrespectful" and not a good student; pray you can get anywhere near a B. God forbid you get a flat tire on the way to class. I don't know half of what she taught. Take Lori.

Ms. Jagasia may be a very nice and compasionate lady, but she really detered me from putting my full effort forward. I seemed to leave class on multiple occasions having no idea what the assignment was...even though she talked the whole time. I think she needs to reconsider teaching college because a 1st grader is way more likely to understand her.

Very nice woman. Her class can be difficult, but she will take the time to explain if you go to her office for help. when I started her class, my english skills were very minimal, by the time the class was over, I knew how to write-you will learn your stuff. and yes, I got an "A" in the class. It is possible, but you have to take all of her advice

Worst Teacher, and worst class! If you want to read out loud one sentence at a time (like when you were 8)then take this class. She should teach grade school not college. Next to impossible to get an A on any paper, and you will be treated like a child. At school when I tell any of my classmates who I have the reaction is always the same "eeew"
