Excellent instructor. A lot of homework & discussion boards. I am not an art major, so it felt like too much for a freshmen level class. I did learn a few basic principles about art- that was a plus. Glad it's done.

Love love LOVE any class Kurt teaches! I took him for design II and sculpture I and really enjoyed both of them. He is very helpful and good at his craft. Just be sure to participate and show up to class, he doesn't like it when you miss. Otherwise, he's a very laid back professor. Willing to work with you on due dates if he sees your work ethic.

Outstanding online course. Very organized with lots of instructor participation. Good video lectures, quiz over each chapter, test over 4 chapters, and 2 research essays. Individualized feedback. Not complicated, work/study and it's an easy A. Get lazy and you're sunk. When it's over, you'll have a good general understanding of art and its history.

Loved this class! It was hard and had to do things that I never thought I could. Mr D made this class fun even though it was hard. He makes you want to do your best:) I'm so glad I took this course. Now i'm taking a color class and this teacher makes you feel like you should not be in art. I wish Mr D was teaching this class

Great teacher! Exciting lectures! Knows his material. Learned a lot! You have to attend class but definitely worth it. Gave a lot of quizzes that really helped with exams. This course has given a better insight to my own graphic design. Really glad I took this course!

Took for a May mini; was interesting as it could be for sitting 4 hours at a time. I'm not an art major, but most of what he lectured about, at least in the beginning, was a slideshow about himself. Relied on caffeine chews to keep me awake. Some teaching methods were interesting though. Tests were a breeze. One paper required, but extremely easy.

The "Haug" is very upbeat and wants his students to excell in their work. He teaches more than drawing because it applies to drawing so its like getting 2 for one but its less detailed. This class is good because it starts off slow and easy then ends hard, so you learn more(just as strict in a moderate way).

Kurt has a great attitude; very warm, inviting, charismatic and upbeat, with an enthusiastic approach to all of the courses he teaches. He could teach the life cycle of mold and hold my attention. ;) He also has a comical side that is very amusing and the fact that he is a cutie-patootie ties everything together. ;* 4 stars; 2 thumbs up :)

He's awesome. I'm not an art major, but i left this class knowing how to create brochures, posters, use illustrator, quark, photoshop.. He's awesome.. and a total hottie to boot.
