Great Professor, he makes everything really easy to grasp. He designed the format, recorded the lectures and wrote the book The combination of using the recorded lectures and in-class lectures makes this class understandable for even the scientifically challenged!

Great Proffessor, maybe best proffessor I have had in the physical sciences. (so good I felt I had to leave a cooment). Challenging course at times, projects are difficult and time consuming but not impossible. Great lecturer, good humor, clear and concise on what is expected and how to get through some of the more challenging problems.

He is an amazing professor and the best i have had. He is very earnest about the subject and he has a quirky lecture style that is very engaging. If you can i defiantly recommend this professor. Also it is quite easy to get an "A" in the class.

I thought this was a really nice class and Prof Close was extremely nice. He does have you buy DVDs of him lecturing which is a little annoying only because they are fairly expensive. His actual classes are pretty interesting and he is extremely funny. As long as you study a bit you should be all set. I took the honors version. He is a great dude.

Dr. Close is a cool guy. His lectures aren't boring, and he wants people to succeed in his class. There is a really dumb group project you have to do for the class though. I didn't study for the exams or take notes - just went to the lectures - and got a 90% overall (80% is an A in that class though!)

Great teacher, very funny. He goes off on random topics but he is good at teaching. You only need an 80 for an A too, but yeah he's pretty sweet.

Prof Close is an extremely useful professor. He is very dynamic during class and loves to answer your questions. His midterm was not easy, but anything above 80% in the class is an A. The group project is a little over the top, but overall I'd recommend this class to anyone.
