Professor Marks is an excellent teacher! He did not require a book for our class because he believes that students learn better when they engage with the lesson. He was right! I always cherish teachers who are able to teach and throw in their own personal charm. A wonderful person indeed, consider taking his class.

Comment:

Marks is great. He has lived the history he teaches. He's a old school (no laptops and papers are literally hand written) but do the extra credit and the one page hand written papers and finish decent on the few quizzes and you'll do well. Two group projects will be hard without good members in your group, so choose wisely. I had 18 pts over an A.

Veteran friendly, Professor Marks is also a Veteran him self. Proud to be in his class with most of the lecture was based on his experience first hand. A great role model! Professor Marks will make Texas History POP verse the book.

Professor Marks is very knowledgeable and a nice guy. Great class but beware that he will email you with homework that is not discussed in class so you must check your email everyday. He does give you extra credit if you put forth the effort.

He is a great professor! He is understanding and will work with you if you need help or don't understand something. I took him during the summer and it was challenging but I pulled through and made an A for the class. He is a great instructor!!

I took both Federal Government and Texas Government with this wonderful professor. This class was one of the best college class experiences I've ever had! Not only does he have a great teaching style, but he also cares about you as well. I learned so much and I really got a hands on learning experience that I will never forget. REQUEST HIM!!!!

I took both GOVERNMENT with him. He is the best professor out there. Gives Lots of extra credit. Sometime you may not even have to take a exam because of all the accumulated points from assignments.Take him!!! I guarantee you won't regret.

Excellent professor who has a passion for his subject. No need for a textbook as I took class in short semester. Second test is take home. Essays are 1 page essays. If you read and follow instructions it is easy to pass. Lots of homework but you need to pay attention in class. He is passionate about American Government.

AWESOME PROFESSOR!! No text book needed, final exam is take home, essays are only 1 page long. He makes his classes interesting and that is saying a lot as I was in his 7:30 AM class. Govt was always a boring subject for me and I passed with a 100.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Great teacher, very understanding and knows his stuff. Got an A+ and went onto the second govt class with a different teacher and still got an A. Makes govt as fun as it can possibly be.

I never liked Gov at all and was very horrible on it. But this cute short old guy changed my whole aspect against Gov Class. He makes the class very interesting and keeps you awake! He loves to teach Gov by heart! His one of the greatest Professors in Brookhaven! Plus, he gives a lot of extra credit that will make you receive an A in his class!!!

Professor Marks is by far the best teacher. No textbook required. Tons of extra credit opportunities. 4 short 1 pg essays. I came out of his class with an A+ and I don't even like govt. I'm in his 2302 class now. Both are 3 weekend classes. He truly knows his stuff. I would recommend him to anyone.

He is sooo excited about what he teaches...it's kinda catchy. Before his class I was a political recluse...now I am excited to be a part of everything..the debates..the caucasses, the campaigning. He really turned my world upside down in a good way...he is also really cute in an adorable older man kinda way.
