Libby was the greatest professor I ever had. He is hilarious and entertaining, and I never got bored in class. No homework, only tests. The test questions are easy, just make sure to show up to lectures and take notes. It's an easy A, and one of the best professors out there.

I have to be honest. For 90% of the semester I wasn't liking this class. He's really smart but he moves fast and I just found his little outbursts annoying. But if you care about school, bring a laptop to class and type away. I did pretty bad on all of his exams and ended up with a B+ I don't know how. He's a great teacher. No HW. Don't skip class!

The textbook is absolutely not mandatory. Take GOOD notes and you'll breeze through the exams. You wouldn't want to skip his lectures anyway since his teaching style is informative and hilarious. One of the best professors at NJIT without a second thought

His teaching style is brilliant. His lectures are entertaining, and genuinely get you interested in the field. He says some crazy things here and there, but it's all part of the show. Some things to know: you don't need the textbook (despite him saying the contrary), you DO need to take notes and study, tests are 150 questions, not 800 like he says

Libby may put on an intimidating face upon first glance, but it's all in character. In reality, he's a hilarious and competent professor that has an effective teaching method. He only gives 5 exams throughout the entire semester all based off what he says in his lectures. Record his lectures or take good notes, you'll get an easy A. He's great!

One of the best professors at NJIT, his teaching style is something I've never seen before yet it works perfectly. For a subject I defiantly did not want to take, he made it so much more interesting than I could possibly think of. Every student should take him. Write good notes and you'll easily get an A+

I am currently taking his class. He said there are 795 questions in the first quiz. I am studying hard to pass his class with B+ OR BETTER. I like his style of teaching but for an international student taking note kind of difficult. so just record and take a note letter. He is very funny and well educated.

Absolutely hilarious. He will repeat content when asked. Heavy lecturer but doesn't rely on vague powerpoints like most and conveys the content in an easy to understand way. Taking notes is surprisingly easy (even for those who seldom take notes like me) and the act of writing them down is usually enough to remember it for the non-cumulative exams.

Honestly one of the best classes you can take at NJIT. His teaching style is lecture-heavy and you need to get everything he's trying to say on paper, but he'll repeat if you ask. There's no homework here, but there are 5 tests you have to study for to pass. As a bonus he says hilarious things during class, so it's worth listening to.

Hands down best teacher I have ever had in my life. So intelligent and funny, many people don't like him because he seems really harsh but he is actually extremely funny, smart, and does care. My favorite subject is history but he made me love astronomy. Def take!

His lectures are interesting and in depth. He also has a great sense of humor which wakes up the students. However, his exams are sort of tough and very long and all his exams except for 1 have 160 questions and you have to work at a fast pace during his exams. No extra credit given. Only grades: 4 exams and a final. Take good lecture notes!

I can't emphasize this enough: TAKE DETAILED NOTES ON EVERYTHING. Tests have around 160 MC questions each, and every question comes from the notes you take in class. You really can't afford to miss even one class, because his syllabus is set in stone and he moves quickly. If you take lots of notes and study hard, you'll do pretty well here.

He can be a little nutty but he is definitely passionate about the class. Do NOT skip the class, everything he talks about is EVERYTHING that is on the exam... word by word. Take LOTS of notes and use the book to help you with vocab. Really interesting class though. His jokes are great

The best professor @ NJIT. No homework. No attendance. Long but interesting lectures. 150-200 multiple choice questions per test. The book is not required. He will say it is, but it's not. You need 50% to pass the class. You will fail if you skip his lectures. Take good notes and you will pass.

Libby is great. He is an honest teacher who is not afraid to tell it like it is. His lectures are full of relevant and interesting information. Although attendance is not mandatory I would recommend attending, all the information on the exams comes from the lectures. He clearly loves Transformers, not sure who is favorite is though I never asked.

All you really need to know is that you haven't gotten the full NJIT experience until you've taken one of his classes. Here's the highlights: He grades purely on 5 equally weighted exams, A final grade of 50% or higher is a C, tests are 150+ questions but are all multiple choice, use your phone to record his lectures (only study material you need)

Don't take him for elective? THIS IS AN ELECTIVE! A lot of material, yes, but there is nothing unclear. Can't write it all down even though he doesn't go that fast? Talk to people, ask someone for notes or, better yet, go to Libby's office - he'd appreciate the EFFORT. Not that hard. Exams are all MC and based on all of your notes.
