I took her for 4D design. All in all, she is the worst professor I have ever had. She hasn't even made any actual art herself yet she is an art professor which doesn't make a lot of sense. She knows nothing about technology for someone that teaches a class based around it. She also inserts her political views into class.

Comment:

She's a pretty bad and especially disorganized teacher for 3D but she gave me a good grade in the end so it turned out alright. She gave me a hard time for not understanding her vague instruction. I warn you DO NOT BUY any of the materials she tells you to buy at the start of class because she will end up bringing them all in for free anyway!?!?

Shes teaching a class revolving around the use of technology, yet she doesnt even know how to work YouTube. The class is not enjoyable at all. She insterts her political views into class a lot.

Prof. Austin just started teaching 4D this semester and so far she has proven that she is incompetent for the job. She hardly has any clue how to operate basic things, like Youtube. I had the feeling she didn't really know what she was talking about some days. Also, she tried to plug her politics into class, which is probably illegal or something.

Lisa is a great person, as other have said she is a bit scatter brained but you just have to get used to it. If you are expecting the professor to hold your hand through the whole course and you can't handle any sort of change (schedule and requirements) then maybe you're not responsible enough to do well in this class. You need patience.

She is very scatterbrained and is not clear on what she is saying. The 3D design class I took with her is easy, but I felt like it did not make me a better artist in the slightest. One minute she loves what you made and the next she hates it. Also a lot of her beliefs are spread out in the classroom. Syllabus? more like lets do whatever I want.

I'm really not what to say, an awful experience I was once interested in sculpture after taking her class I very much turned off. there's o planning, no rubric, no experimentation, just work to make something that she likes. I learned absolutely nothing.

How has this woman been allowed to stunt the growth of so many potential artists at this school so long? It calls into question the school's credibility as well as their evaluation methods. Ive never encountered such an unqualified individual for any position. AVOID if you are serious about learning. Or serious about anything.

She really has no idea what the heck is going on in the class. She is a nice person, but as far as teaching goes.. its not her cup of tea. I absolutely despise going to that class. I work on a project for 5 hours and end up getting a 5 out of 10 because she has no criteria for grading at all. Avoid this class if you can. at least just this teacher

She is NUTS!!!! This is the one class that i would rather gouge my eyes out with a spoon then spend two and a half hours in the same room with that woman. The assignments that she has us to are pointless and stupid!! And she picks on me ALL the time. Dont take her class!!! It is not worth it.

Wow, she's nuts. I wouldn't recomend taking her... ever!! If you actually want to learn something i advise taking another teacher. However she's an easy teacher for the sole purpose that no one in the class did the work, or half assed it and she couldn't fail us all. Basicly the whole class should have failed but we all recieved C's.

Avoid at all cost. She's a scatter-brained mess and it's amazing she makes it into work each day. It's hard to tell what grade you're going to recieve and she'll waste your time with awful modern art films and gallery shows. Ultimately, she's teaching because she's unqualified to do anything else. Actually, she's unqualified to teach too.

I must say that I do really like her as a person. She's bright and alive - not to mention EXTREMELY involved in art. I don't know if i'd recommend her to people who aren't interested in the class cuz it definately ruins her want to teach your class. I think her nuttiness gets the best of her. If your on top of your game & care then take her.

Lisa is a space cadett. She means well but tends to really piss me off. Her 3D Design Class is a complete bore. The projects suck. I hear that sculpture is better.
