Great professor. He does have an accent but hes very easy to understand. There are 4 test including the final but the final is optional if you want him to count all three test grades. Answers all hw questions in beginning of class. Teaches very well and very laid back.

4 tests drops lowest one others are equal value. need to understand math 115 well and if ur not good at math his teaching style may be difficult. if ur decent at math it should be fine. tests are short and he only puts the most basic questions of each subject on the test.

Comment:

This professor is one of the best math professors I have had. He is so down to earth, not to mention he cracks jokes in the middle of class. Don't get me wrong, this class is tough, but DO the homework so when he asks any practice problems, you are set. His tests are tough, but he is the fairest grader. Not to mention he curves if necessary.

Skips around while solving problems. Doesn't really explain well . He have no patient to teach or explain for farther more. If you want to learn and get a good grade don't pick him '!!!

Comment:

Professor Ghergi is a really good professor. He gives 4 exams and drops the lowest grade. Review sheets and problems are almost identical to exams and he curves up to 30 points depending on results. ASK if you do not understand something. Calc is challenging so I lived in tutoring, but it was worth it. & I love the accent, not hard to understand :)

i had precal with him gives a lot of hw, but doesn't grade you on it. only goes over homework if you ask him to in the beginning of class this can take the whole class time or 5mins. tests arent 2 hard but the hw does help. he talks in a dull voice, but makes jokes to make up for it. Worst professor I encounter in my academic experience. There were three quizzes. All of them extremely difficult. No reviews for quizzes and final even more difficult. Doesn't check homework. Don't fully explain the material step by step instead rush through topics and summarizes by explaining problems verbally. Students be aware don't risk you GPA

Great class. Had an amazing semester. Tests are hard but if you study you'll pass with barely sweating. His questions really test how well you understand the information, if you do the homework enough you'll do fine.

Wonderful professor. He is helpful. I don't understand why anyone will make any negative on him. He assigns h/w which all shown up in exam. As long as you do h/w, practise them before exam. You will ace the class easily. I am very happy to have him as my pre-cal professor and wish him would teach me in calculus.

gherghi is the man! he's hands down the best math teacher i've ever taken and he's funny as hell. I'm not a math major but I'm happy to take calculus with him next semester. His tests are a bit tricky but if you study hard they're pretty easy, he'll ask questions to see how well you understand the information. He's very clear and gives good hints!

If you don't want your GPA to suffer don't take him. All he does he tell stupid jokes in class and if he give you home work he doesn't even correct them so you don't know if you are doing them correctly. Worst professor I have taken.

explains well, and doesnt rush subjects. he spends beginning of every class taking any questions regarding previous class homework, use this time if you are unclear about anything. tests were difficult, but nothing unexpected from class work.
