This Professor is the best!!! She cares about the students, very nice, and helpful. I recieved an A but I also took an interest in her class. You need to study but its not too difficult and she tells you whats going to be on the exam.

I had Profe Haas for Phonetics and it was... an experience. She definitely knows what she's doing, but is so disorganized and frazzled that she is terrible at communicating it. She's confusing and unclear way too often. She has more e-mail and tech issues than any prof I've encountered. Also a mandatory service project that is SO inconvenient.AVOID

Truly the worst professor I have ever worked with. Extremely unclear about homework, exams, and almost every other aspect of the class. Late to class frequently, which as a professor (in my opinion) is unacceptable. Availability outside of class to work through difficult concepts was little to none (usually none). Disorganized and scatter-brained.

Very nice lady, but not very helpful when it comes to teaching.She is very confusing and doesn't really explain some things Well.she is horrible with technology and that severely delayed class. Either she didn't' know how to work it or she broke it.It was something new everyday. She was never on time for class even thought you have to be.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Haas! I wish she would teach more Spanish Linguistics classes because she made me love linguistics and want to learn more. If you have a chance to take Phon and Diction with her do it!!!

She is an amazing professor. Always willing to listen and help in any way possible no matter the subject. I am very glad I had her and will be sad not to have her for further classes. This class and the way it was taught was always a relief from my Span. Lit class which I had before this one! The community service was fun too!

She really has a way with making the class a lot more fun and exciting than Phonetics really has any right to be. Its a hard subject, but just keep up with the work and with whats going on in calss and you'll do fine.

Prof Haas is a bright, enthusiastic, & attentive instructor. I saw her during her office hours when I was having trouble (do this). I ended up with an "A" in the class which is possible if you put some work into understanding the material. She kept us laughing when the material was tough and always tried to make sure everyone was following.

very nice lady, but WO. what is the point of having a syllabus at all when you never follow it? no one had a clue what to read or what was going on, let alone what to study. very unclear; what i learned i pretty much learned from study on my own.
