I took macroeconomics for her and yes her class is tough. Spend several hours all together studying for tests. Try to focus on her lecture, the power points are tough to follow. I recommend her class if you enjoy working for your grade. I didn't study nearly enough for two of the 5 tests and that's why I'm getting a B, kicking myself for it now.

Comment:

Mrs. Calafiura was an exemplary economics teacher. She was very apt at drawing the parallels between what we were learning about macroeconomics and the reality of we are all affected in our daily lives. She was not only extremely professional and fair but she was a very kind woman; even complimenting me on how well I write when she didn't have to.

Comment:

Overall good instructor. By no means an easy A but if you put in the work, pay attention in class, do the homework and study it's definitely achievable. Definitely a numbers person and not a words person so she was a little confusing at times, but usually made things easy to understand.

Ms.Calafiura provides students with power point notes that cover her main point,also she has a list of key terms from each chapter.Also Ms.C let us chose our own paper dates witch was helpful for avoiding stressful weeks.The main thing Ms.C looks for in a student is interest and effort.Overall the instructor was helpful,and easy to get along with.

Outstanding professor! Be ready to work for your grade. If you are one of those typical High School Grads wake up and get ready for the real world because thats what this class institutes. She will not hold your hand and walk you through the work as you are use to from previous classes.

she wants students to participate in discussions but doesn't give a real chance to do so. She has her favorite students whom she asks all the time and the willingness to participate in discussions is disappear. Not really fair.

A difficult professor, relative to other professors at WW, however, if you are planning to transfer to a 4-year college she is a good example of what should be expected at a university. Boring, avoid if at all possible. Assigns massive amounts of work and spends ittle time checking. Often doesn't return work.Spends too much talking about her past career. Arumentative, stale, insulting, never smiles. Tests are not on material studied. Power Points are useless. Terrible personality.

A little intimidating at first, had me rethinking the class but by the second week, felt very comfortable. Course was clear of what was expected. Her test were very challenging but she gave plenty of opportunity in class and with assignements. I received an A in this class but had to work for it. She sets a high standard but it is reachable.

Very nice and helpful, if you pay attention, read, and follow the power points this is an easy class. Test are difficult but not impossible to pass if you study the power points and read the textbook. Great class and senerios.

She's hard, but she also will help you if you ask for it. She doens't like slackers but if you talk to he 1 on 1 she is pretty felxable. Her test are hard (mostly the essay part) but the Assingmnts are pretty esay if you just try and put some effort into it. In class she can be kinda rough at times and watch out when she asks something or voting
