Had him in the 70's for 3 classes. i was a big liberal - didn't learn a thing -so funny to read recent comments - they are spot on - use to take the class to communist psrty meeting in the student center!! had him for intro when Allende was overthrown in Chile. Taught me how to read the NY Times!

Awful professor. Had him during the 2008 presidential election. Abrasive towards students with views not similar to his own. Is the definition of a baby boomer radical liberal who would love nothing more than to see this country fail. Awful professor in general and literally impossible to get an "A"

Great Professor, have now taken him for 3 classes. You have to be willing to listen to him ramble on about random things like the NYC real estate market, but if you don't mind wasting some time at the beginning of class than you will enjoy him. Really knows his stuff

Had him for Comparative politics. Pretty easy, a small book review and a final exam. He does not give A's. You do not learn anything in his class. All you do is sit there for 1hr 15mins and listen to his hippy liberal socialist comments... and thats about all he does. If you can swallow that BS, than you should do good but dont expect to learn.

cool guy. great teacher, wealth of knowledge. ties history and current events all together. for a part of the world i knew little about, he really opened my eyes to this section of the world with a rich and crazy history. also if your a conservative person, avoid him. hes a pretty crazy liberal with a gutter mouth who talks about anything!
