Very nice and approachable professor..has a very "santa claus" like approachability. Class (japn 10c) is probably the hardest in the 10 series but manageable. He calls on everyone at least once during lectures to speak but he's not intimidating. Attendance in mandatory

An excellent professor. The best of the best. Classes fill up quickly. He is extremely helpful, funny, engaging and loves to help students. His lectures are fun, engaging and top notch. Just wait until he starts drawing. Attend everything, lectures, discussions (they're all mandatory), study hard (it is a language class) and you'll do fine.

Super funny, nice, and interesting. Definitely take Nishimura because he's one of the best Japanese teachers here. I took him for two classes, and he's consistently great and helpful. His sections usually fill up pretty quickly and fully, and with good reason!

Stellar teacher. Being a lecturer and not a professor, he lives by his teaching ability and it shows. Competent and helpful, excellent sense of his students' limitations and strengths/weaknesses. Nishimura is probably one of the best Japanese professors I've had since starting to learn the language. The 150-series classes are a lot of work, but overall pretty easy and enjoyable. Nishimura cares a lot about his students and often goes out of his way to help out when students face adverse situations. A+++

I LOVE HIM!!! very clear, great singer, and really forces you to understand the material. Makes himself very available with office hours, and cares about his students a lot. MAKE SURE YOU GO TO CLASS THOUGH - 5 DAYS A WEEK, the points you miss for not going really hurt you - and there is NO curve.

No wonder he gets 100% on almost every cape review. He's one of the best teacher in UCSD. He can sign, he can draw, he can make a plain language class into fun paradise.
