His tests are tough. BUT, if you show up to every class, do the HW, participate as much as you can, and show a lot of effort... you will do very well. He rewards participation and effort. He also curves the exams so don't get discouraged. I thought for sure I would get a B but got an A because I just showed a lot of effort. I recommend taking him.

Comment:

Nice Gentleman. He may not be a good pick for business law professor. If you plan to take CPA exams, go and take Professor Marx as he elaborates a concept through examples so that you can grab them in your mind when you study. You need to dig some extra information to solid yourself through Prof. Balsamo.

He's a great professor, possibly the best in the school. If you do you work and try hard you should be fine. His tests aren't that easy but they are doable and at times he lets you bring in index cards. He teaches you relevant info, makes boring material interesting and funny and overall he's a good person. If your lazy run though..

I do not think he is an understanding professor. His grading system is hard to tell being that he will pass and fail you if your late however it could be the exams that really matter. i do not reccomend taking this class if you are not a morning person..

He is very good at explaining boring law stuff, and make it interesting. He is very serious about homework questions and take-home readings. You gotta read the book and answer the questions he assigns. He give curves occationally, most of the exams are multiple choice. sometimes he gives out one or two short answer for extra credits.

This goes back a while to when he was teaching at LIU. He was & is one of the best tax professors I've ever known. Also, based on the previous post, I'm quite sure he's awesome in business law as well.
