Honest, tough and genuinely cares about his students success in the tough love kind of way. I am incredibly successful in my career. When I look back Mike was on the top of the list when it comes to great professors!

Mike's a nice guy, but he's not very professional. He isn't very enthusiastic when it comes to encouraging students to keep going with their GCOM major. He had said a lot of discouraging things to our class which was a turn off, professor wise. In the long run, tho, he really knows his stuff!

Started early in the profession, so keeping up to date on the new stuff is a challenge for him. I know he cares for his students but it's hard to see it on initial impressions. For the amount of classes he teaches, he should definitely have a bit more knowledge that he can express to his students. Tutorials shouldn't be the answer for everything.

Professor Ruth has progressively become more lazy, unhelpful, and ignorant throughout these last few years. He has good whit, but doesn't know hardly anything. Of course he is assigned a lot of classes to teach- his solution is to assign everyone a tutorial in almost every class. If we are learning from only tutorials, why pay for a class? Pathetic

Mike Ruth is usually a good person to talk to, but when he is assigned so many classes to teach at once, he gets kind of moody, and sucks at communicating. Overall, he's fun but doesn't know as much as he should for his stature.

Mike is the man. If you show up and give effort, he'll give it back to you. He allowed me to do my thing, and create my own path. Great Advisor as well as teacher. Now i'm successful and employed.
