Comment:

This is such an easy A class if you do the homework and quizzes each week. You don't need to go to the lectures because he does not do clickers or take attendance. I felt bad for the guy because no one hardly showed up to the class but during syllabus week he was super confusing with his instructions to the course which was the only annoying thing.

Comment:

Never had to go to class once. Big lecture so he wont know if you're not there, nobody goes. It is basically an online class. A quiz every week (10 mult. choice questions) and online homework questions that you can get wrong. Literally, anyone with a pulse can get an A in this class.

No one goes to class, as all of the work is through ridiculously long online textbook assignments, homeworks, and quizzes. I didn't learn any of the material, I just used quizlet to complete everything, which was a bad choice.

The class is pretty easy and the work is all online. Lots of busy work. Class isn't mandatory but if you go, he's funny and we talk about interesting stuff. It's kind of depressing though that about 1/10th (20-30 kids) show up in Forum. Cool guy though. I feel like if he utilized powerpoint or clickers he'd have better attendance.

Didn't go to this class once. Make sure to do the learnsmart assignments and don't miss the weekly quizzes on canvas. If you do decent on the quizzes and do all the learnsmarts you'll get an A. He offers a few extra credit assignments throughout the semester. Feel bad for the guy that nobody showed up for his class.

If you are like those incompetent kids below who never show up to class and don't read any materials and end up with bad grades and come here to give a bad review to Profess Michael Troyan, please don't take this class. Michael is a really nice professor. He made tests and homework pretty easy as long as you READ THE MATERIAL for only once.

Class is a depressing to witness. All online assignments so class is pointless. sometimes no one including the prof even shows up for class. quizzes are hard if you dont care about the class at all. dont even know this class is allowed given that everyone takes it as a gen ed and could care less, generally speaking. take some other science class.

The class is based online questions about reading the online textbook. These are very easy and can be completed without even reading the textbook. They have unlimited attempts. There are also online quizzes due every week that are based on the readings, these are a bit trickier but the online readings/questions are worth most of the points.

All online, which is nice if you just want an A/B. Do the work and you get it. However, be ready to spend hours on hours (upwards of 15 per week) doing all of the online assignments. Its a ridiculous amount of work, which renders little knowledge overall.

Most of the work is online. The class is set up to help you learn and get an A. There was a quiz once a week online and you could use the textbook for help. There were small practice problems online as well that took about 30 minutes. Overall, that was the whole class. If you do the work every week and pretty well on quizzes, you still get an A.

I was expecting this class to be difficult and Michael made it so easy! He adds funny comments to the long lectures (since it was online it was a lot of reading!). VERY helpfulunderstanding when it comes to conflicts. Overall awesome professor

Super easy course. Print out the weekly chapters, read, highlight, take notes on them and then you quiz. No tests. Great professor. Easy A if you actually try at all.

This was the web online course. I received a C but if I had studied more in advance, I definitely could have done better. Best way to study is to retype all the info and read it over and over. Exams are multichoice but you have no idea what you will be tested on. If you're not a science major, this course can be a little challenging.

Comment:

This is the best GenEd science class you can possibly get. Online, No Final, Easy Quizzes and Homework. The homeworks are kind of repetitive but by no means hard. Class never meets. No text book. Troyan is funny and easy to get along with.
