Comment:
Every COR110 is different. This one was sort of boring, even if some (not all) the readings were interesting. We read books and had discussions about them in class. We had 3 major projects that involved a few papers. Kleckner really wanted to get us engaged in the class, but did a very poor job trying. Not a hard class, majority based on opinions.

Kleckner is an awesome teacher! The class is very busy and you will need to put in time and effort to make a good grade but she will help you with anything if you ask. She tries to engage everyone in the class and asks questions that may spark debate. 10/10 overall and would highly recommend taking her class!

Michelle is so friendly, and the class itself was super easy. Compared to other global classes she gives a stupid amount of work but it is all so easy and manageable.

One of the easiest possible global classes you can take. Don't have to read a page. No quizzes tests or midterm. Requires maybe a page summary every other week. Two projects that you can do the day before. Super easy A. Highly recommend.

Had Kleckner for Global. She's super sweet and used different things besides just lectures to teach to us. She doesn't always expect a lot from us. She'll sometimes ask a question, wait a full 20 seconds for an answer and if no one responds she'll just move on. But I really liked her. For Global, she teaches about immigration and sustainability.

I highly recommend her. She's one of the nicest ladies I know. They class had a couple spots where we had a project (and therefore a bit of work), but in between, we had almost no work (which was almost the whole semester). I got an A without reading almost all of the books. I still got something out of the class. You should take her!

The class is extremely boring. A complete waste of time. The assignments were equivalent to the assignments of a sixth grader. She doesn't give clear concise rubrics but will critique you as if she did. And her voice will put you to sleep. If you have a laptop...bring it to class...you'll need SOME form of entertainment

Professor Kleckner is one of my favorites at Elon. She is always very friendly and she wants you to succeed. You will get out of her class what you put into it. If you do the reading, speak your mind in class, & just do what you are asked, you will be fine. She's as sweet as they come and loves to hear back from you after you have taken her class.

I was surprised with her inability to maintain student interest and engagement in class. Attempts at provoking classroom discussions were largely unsuccessful; students seemed to participate just to get credit for doing so. Her intentions were good, but her class is simply uninteresting. Not much work overall, but too much uninteresting group BS

Decent class. Shes really nice and understanding as long as you talk to her ahead of time. She assigns a good amount of reading but I barely did any of it, just skimmed it and I got an A in the class.

Simply put, nice lady, terrible teacher. She's open to help you, but she fails to make the class anymore interesting than the back of your eyelids. For the research paper, since she's not an English teacher she gives you a grade that does not truly represent your writing ability. She should stick to teaching classes in her field.

lots of reading, but you don't really have to do it all. just as long as you know something about the subject. class is more like a debate. like you read something the night before, and then talk about it during class. lots of focus on environmental issues. research paper wasn't that bad cuz topics are interesting. cultural events really suck.

LOTS of reading, and she won't tell you that far ahead of time. if she makes you do a movie presentation on your research paper, start WAY ahead of time, and DON'T use powerpoint - it took me and my partner over 5 hours to get the stupid thing to record, and it sounded terrible because of how powerpoint works, but the students partially grade you,

This class was not interesting to me at all but Kleckner is ok and cares about you and wants you to succeed. Some of the work is boring and cultural events are a nuisance. The class is easy though but you probably will find it boring.

SHE'S A GREAT INSTRUCTOR AN ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP. GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR. HAS GOTTEN A LITTLE MORE "ACADEMICALLY MINDED" THAN WHEN SHE FIRST CAME HERE. CLASS WAS GREAT AND EASY TO FOLLOW; DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND CLASSWORK, GET GOOD GRADE.

Wonderful lady! She cares a lot about what students think. Reading is relatively easy (if you like to read). Cultural events can be a little bit of a pain, but easy to accumulate the required amount.

She gives a lot of reading, high expectations for reading you could say. Rediculous amount of cultural events to go to especially with the stupid model UN project to do. Pretty good on grading. I HATE Model UN, it's such a waste of time.
